Overview

A young man is on the verge of going mad after losing his father in a tragic accident. Ashton appears on a planet called the Waking World. He discovers a secret society run by a group called the Guardians, all of whom have magical abilities related to their lives on Earth. Things are magical until they are not, as he unravels the secrets to his father's past, falls in love, and discovers everyone on the Waking World is in a coma back on earth and must all be saved before the plug is pulled.

About the Author

C. L. Backman lives in the beautiful state of Utah and began his career in the United States Marine Corps and has been to Afghanistan and Jordan. After 7 years he was honorably discharged and went into nursing school in Salt Lake City, Utah. He now works in a Neuroscience trauma unit at a children’s hospital.

His love for writing has never gone away, he has written songs and poems to his grandma as she and his father raised him. To the walls in the basement since childhood. Writing stories that directly relates to his real-world life, he kept hidden away from everyone, which inspired him to write his next Dark Fantasy ‘My Rubik’s Cube’.
