When Marla Cahill wakes up from a coma after a deadly car accident, she can't even remember her own name, let alone provide a satisfactory explanation to the police about what she was doing the night her friend was killed. In a suspenseful thriller that keeps listeners guessing until almost the end, Alan Nebelthau keeps an even tempo that allows the suspense to build. The one drawback is that "she said" often sounds like "he said." While at times it’s peculiar to hear the story of a woman's distress and memory recovery in a male voice, it's not enough to detract from the mystery of Marla's identity and the budding romance that develops between her and her brother-in-law.
