Gabriel Luca Maldonado, III and Francesca Leandra Solomon were meant to be. They were so in love that everybody prayed for what they had.
Everything was glorious. They would get married, have children and live a perfect life. She would be a doctor in the emergency room once she finished her doctorate, and he would be a badass Navy SEAL and save people for a living.
But then Luca is deployed across the world, and per military regulations, Frankie isn't allowed to follow.
They've overcome a lot in their short relationship, and they can overcome this, too. Two years was a piece of cake. She'd finish her schooling and wait for him. And when he finally returned home, they would marry.
But two months into Luca's deployment, the unthinkable happens, and Frankie is left alone and heartbroken, knowing that she'll have to face the rest of life without Luca at her side.
Fast forward two years, and Frankie is exactly where her fiancé's father left her, in a pit of despair that she has no hope of ever finding her way out of.
She lives life one second at a time, depressed and alone, hoping tomorrow won't hurt like today.
She finds a job, moves, and hopes that the nightmares won't swallow her whole.
But just as she thinks that she's getting better, one of her nightmares walks through the doors of her ER, and that nightmare has a name.
Gabriel Luca Maldonado, III. In the flesh.
Also healthy and whole, and definitely no longer missing.
Sadly, it only takes her a half a second to realize that the man that left her isn't the same man that returned.
The old one wanted her. The new one? Well, he's definitely not interested anymore.

in some details then the story a bit. Like it was made to sound different then the actual story. I can not say too much or I could give away something of the story without meaning to. Just the way the two main characters figured out who each other was in the overview was descibed differently in story, for example. With that said, the story was still very good, 167 nook pages, plenty of steamy scenes, heartache, humor, unexpected turns, and over all great addition to this series.****

Definitely not expecting the twist in middle and definitely not the one towards the end.

I loved her books in the beginning but now, they just seem rushed. Some of the reviews said about a twist in the middle, which is why I tried this book. But, they me tell you, there was no twist. If you didn't guess what was happening in the first chapter then I'm shocked. This was one of my least favorite books of hers. Seems like that's happening a lot now.

So much more...and loved the suspense! This book is not quite what you expect and I loved the suspense of it all. It's hard to review this one without giving too much away. Let's just say that it was a quick read because it was quite the page turner. Luca and Frankie had a once in a lifetime love. Then he went missing...then someone returned...but that's when it gets interesting! "That was everything that I ever imagined it would be..." which describes how I felt at the end of this book. I voluntarily requested and read an advance reader copy.

If You Say So by Lani Lynn Vale is the sixth book in her fabulous KPD Motorcycle Patrol series I remain absolutely intrigued with the peripheral characters to this series knowing they must have a book out there just from the snippets contained in this series. {So many books, so little time!} It seems like this is a next-generation series to the author's Code 11-KPD SWAT Series and also a spin-off or set in the same world as her Bear Bottom Guardians MC series. A full reading list can be found on Lani's website so you can read by series, recommended reading order, or release date if you choose. Anyway - back to the review for IF YOU SAY SO - This is by far the more tragic of the stories I have read so far. A lost love, a best-friend back from the missing presumed dead and broken hearts slowly healing together all while feeling guilty about those who are still lost to them. Vague - I know - but so much of this one needs to be experienced in the pages and not in my review. I loved this story, it's chemistry, it's drama, and most especially, it's happy ending! Well-written and fast-paced this is a sexy and outrageous insta-love story and I'm most definitely addicted to Lani Lynn Vale's writing at this point. Loved it! Enjoy!

4 1/2 STARS! IF YOU SAY SO is the sixth book in Lani Lynn Vale's KPD Motorcycle Patrol series and centers around a doctor who's world was turned upside down not once, but twice with the loss of her true love. A wildly crazy twist on a reunion story is sure to delight LLV fans! Frankie had her life planned out ... she'd become a doctor while Luca served in the Navy, then they'd reunite and settle in to have the family they always dreamed of and live happily ever after. Plans don't always go according to plan and a few months after he deploys overseas Luca goes missing and is presumed dead. Two years later has Frankie still living in a cloud of grief. She moved away to get a fresh start and is living the life the doctor life she worked so hard for, but the emptiness inside her attempts to drag her under on a normal basis. Then the unthinkable happens. I recommend this story to anyone wanting a drama filled love story with lots of unexpected twists and turns. There is a bit of confusion weaved in as the story is told, but overall it was awe inspiring and emotional. I am enjoying this entire series.

Lani Lynn Vale has done it again!! If You Say So wasn't anything I expected, it was so much more! Luca Maldonado left behind his new engaged fiancé, Francesca "Frankie" Solomon to head overseas with his best friend Malaki for a Navy SEALs mission. Two years would go in a blink, but two years actually became a nightmare. Two long years passed. Two years in which the the men disappeared. Two years in which Frankie never gave up hope. Two years where Frankie prayed for Luca to return home, but instead of Luca a different man returned. The man who returned had no memory of his previous life. The man who returned didn't feel comfortable with his own name, in his own clothes, living what was supposed to be his previous life. Perhaps he's not the man he's supposed to be, but who does that make him? He has no clue, that is until he sees Frankie Solomon that he actually feels something, but the problem is, should he actually want her? His new name says no, his heart says yes. If You Say So is touching and emotional. I love how Lani writes military vets with deep emotional depth. Her books hit me in the solar plexus every single time.

All I can say is … WOW!! This book had numerous roller coasters that I was not expecting and some truths that really shocked the hell out of me. The pain of the characters was very apparent throughout the book and it absolutely tugged at my heartstrings more than I thought it would. I thought the author really built up the suspense of the main situation in the story great and then she pulled in new elements that really set the stage for a shocker of a reveal. I will say that I saw it coming … but anyone that has read this author and the various series’ will have the same feeling. :) Overall, great book. I loved the characters and the pace that the story set. I really liked the build up that happened with the characters. The only thing I had an issue with the parental reaction … I thought there would be much more of it is in the book and was missing that. But that did not detract from the book as a whole. Yes, this is vague … and it will stay so. Read the book!! You will not regret it.

This book was so hard to read. Not because it wasn't amazing, because it was a fantastic book. It was hard to read because of the emotion behind it. Frankie's pain. Gabe and Ember's pain. It all added up to make this one of the most emotional books I've read by this author. I just could not read it without copious amounts of tears. So be prepared, and have the tissues handy. You will definitely need them! You have been warned! Frankie is absolutely devastated, and knows her life will never be the same. All of her hopes and dreams left with Luca, and she will never get them back. She is living day to day, trying to act like everything is ok, when it really isn't. Despite the support of her family, and Luca's family, she just can't make herself move on, and doesn't think she ever will. This book is one that you will never forget. Frankie's pain is absolutely palpable, and it hurts! I don't want to give anything away, but even through the pain, there are surprises, and Frankie is able to come out stronger on the other side. It was a great book, and I enjoyed it overall, but there were some parts that were hard to get through (It's kind of hard to read through tears) but I kept pushing through, be
