About the Author

Linda S. Mai lives in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma with her husband, Chris. Together they have seven children and twelve grandchildren. Linda writes picture books and middle grade novels. Her debut picture book was DEIDRA'S DOLLY, a book about love and acceptance. She lives on a pond and wakes every morning to the lovely sound of honking geese and noisy ducks.

Brandie Hanson grew up in Central Minnesota in an area known as the Leaf Hills Mountains. She is a self-taught artist and illustrator whose work is influenced by comics, cartoons and animated movies. Brandie combines digital and traditional techniques with strong use of color in her work.
