Sarita has seen some crazy things as a cop, but nothing to rival Domitian. A vampire? Seriously? But his healing ability, incredible powers, and their mind-blowing physical connection—none of it should be possible, yet her body knows differently. Now, not only do they have to save each other, but other innocent lives are at stake. Failure is not an option, for Sarita intends that Domitian show her exactly what an eternity of pleasure feels like…

Another wonderful tale in the Argenous series. As the family grows so does the storyline. With the twins safe and the Hunters in Venezuela searching for the missing immortals and the evil Dr. Dressier, we are introduced to another branch of the family with Domitian Argensis. A restaraunteur chef and over two thousand years under his belt he not only knows where his life mate is but who. Unfortunately she is in the hands of Dr. Dressler and he, over Lucien's protests places himself in the mad scientist's hands. You won't be disappointed in this installment!

Sanitary gets a call from Mr Dressler that her grandmother has fallen down the stairs and is doing poorly. She should come to Venezuela immediately, which she does. She is kept on an island for three days and hasn’t seen him or her grandmother, so she sneaks out and goes to the labs where she knows he is working. She finds him and a woman putting together the top and bottom of a man. Yep, kind of like Frankenstein. Dr. Dressler then knocks her out with an injection and she wakes up in a house on yet another island. She finds only skimpy bikinis and nighties to wear and a note from Dr Dresssler telling her there is an immortal in the basement and she should give him at least four bags of blood before she unchain shim. Oh and by the way she is his life mate. The two become acquainted intimately and they try to figure out what the doctor has in store for them. The only negative I can say about the story is that this took way too long but in the book it is only three days before they swim to the big island. In the background of the story other immortals have been captured and are being held prisoners on the island. It remains to be seen if anybody can stop this monster. He has already done many experiments in gene splicing and has many hybrid creatures. His own son is a winged man. Bald eagle with other gene species thrown in. We eventually get to a happy ending but it leaves some questions about what will happen to the hybrid creatures.

Immortal Unchained by Lynsay Sands Argeneau & Rogue Hunter's Series Book Twenty-Five Domitian Argenis has been waiting a very long time for his life mate. And then, he found her and had to wait even longer because she was still young and he wanted her to live a normal life for a while. And now...she is in the hands of a man who's been capturing immortals. Domitian takes a job as a chef to get inside and rescue her...and the others. After all, Dressler doesn't know he's an immortal—or so he thought. Sarita Reyes needs to see her grandmother. After getting a message that she'd been hurt and that seeing Sarita would help her...she went immediately. And yet, no sign of Grandmother or Dressler. And then...she wakes up in a beach house with a stranger. As always, the author adds plenty of humor as the characters try to escape danger, capture the bad guy, and try to resist life mate sex. Although...there's really no way to resist it once it hits. That's a lot for a mortal to take in when she's just finding out that the things of folklore exist. **Sexual content

Sarita is a cop on leave from Canada. She goes to South America to check on her Grandmother who has had a fall. She waits on the island of Dr. Dressler her grandmother's employeer, to see her grandmother, who is not on the island. Meanwhile Dominican Argenta is going to the island to save his lifemate, whom he hasn't seen since she was 13. He has had a private detective following her, and sending info, but no pictures. His Uncle has explained to him that Dr. Dressler is the one kidnapping the missing immortals. This is a wonderful story. I liked Dr. Dresser's son. I hope he will show up in another book. I would recommend this book to all. It is a great addition to the series.

Who knew Dante had so much to say. Mary brought out a side of him not seen when he's with his twin! He's quite indestructable, too. Mary is a surprise, but a great fit for him. Nanos are never wrong.

I didn't enjoy this story as well as the past books in the series. It didn't have the same wit and humor as the other books in the series

I loved where the storyline went (à la Island of Dr. Moreau) and wonder if it will continue on with some of the characters introduced (like, maybe, Thorne??). This series is my most favorite. As soon as the next book comes out, I buy it and place it in my stack to be read NEXT; over all the other series books I’ve gotten. And it will continue to stay that way for the next installment. Can’t wait!!

Have read all the Argeneau books, and I especially loved this one. It was some of the same that I loved and some of the people, but some totally new and diabolical ideas that are going to be terrible to deal with in the future. One little flaw that bothered me, was why Domitian was'nt able to read Ascherah and know what she was up to. I'll leave it at that. Can't wait to find out what the evil El Doctor has turned himself into.

Another truly enjoyable read. If you're new to this series....please start from book one. So many of the books have recurring family members involved in the continuing, and exciting, Argeneau saga. You'll love all of em! Hot vamps, strong women, quirky humor and family ties. Truly fun reads!

I worried that maybe this might be one too many books in the Argeneau series BUT I WAS SO WRONG. This book was so, so good! It has everything you would expect from Ms. Sand’s long running series and more. It was infused with the perfect blend humor, passion, heat, danger, intrigue and even evil. Domitian Argenis is very, very old. He has been waiting so long for Sarita Reyes to be old enough for him to woo her and show her that she is his lifemate. Before he has a chance to do that they are both basically kidnapped and brought to the island of a mad scientist, Dr. Drexler, who has been experimenting on humans and immortals alike. He has kidnapped many of Domitian’s relatives already. Drexler leaves them alone together in a house so he can watch them interact and so they will bond as lifemates because he wants to use that to gain the information he is seeking. The love story part of the story is very sweet and Domitian is the perfect gentleman and extremely sexy. I love how he always says “As you wish” to her. Sarita is of course a little taken aback by everything she is learning and a much harder sell on the whole life mate thing although she is definitely up for the physical part of the relationship. I really like her though, she has spunk and is quite sassy. This is a real nailbiter as we hope and wait to see if Sarita and Domitian can find a way to free his family members, escape this madman and put him behind bars like he deserves. One of my favorite lines in the book is the throwback to Princess Bride when Domitian says that he was going to walk up to Sarita and say “My name is Domitian Argenis...you are my life mate...Prepare to be loved.” I found myself reading that in Inigo Montoya’s voice. Very funny. Great addition to the Argeneau series! Another fantastically amazing read!

Loved it! I simply can not get enough of the Argeneau clan! This one was captivating and exciting, with some humor added in to the mix. I would highly reccomend each and every one of these books. My only problem is that it left me wanting more, more more!

The best Argeneau story in a while. Action, adventure and love. We finally find out where the kidnappers were taking the twins (before they escaped) unfortunately others have been successfully kidnapped and Lucian and the rogue hunters are trying hard to find them. Immortal Chef Domitian Argenis may not be a rogue hunter but he has an invitation to the very island where they think the kidnappers have taken the others and to top it off that is where his life mate is. He can’t not go. The kidnapper is a horrific cross between Dr. Mengele and Dr. Moreau and the things we see cannot be unseen. It’s up to a chef and a human cop to get the information to Lucian and the rogue hunters before they too are experimented upon. This is a fast paced grab you by the seat of you pants rocket ride of a paranormal romance. I loved it.

A little slower paced than I like but still worth the read. So glad to see favorite characters and meet new ones. I hope to see more Thorne in the future. I'm already over Dressler and he's barely even started.

I am never disappointed in this series. It could have gone on longer by bringing past series characters more into the plot instead of at the end. I really hope that Thorne is the beginning of a new series. I want to know more about him. Please Ms Sands, give him his own story
