In Place of the Parent: Inside Child Protective Services

Lance Hillsinger was a Child Protective Services (cps) social worker for thirty-four years-first in Los Angeles County, then in San Luis Obispo County. He has personally filed over six hundred cases concerning child maltreatment with the juvenile court. This is an inside look at the effort to keep children safe. There is both joy and sorrow, but it's all about the children.
