Overview

In The Dead Of Night by Sandy Paull

Michael Cameron dies in a car accident and leaves behind a pregnant wife, three children, and the location to incriminating company files found against his employer.

Two years later, a contract killer is given a mission - find the missing files and take care of any loose ends.

Courtney Cameron wants to replace the child she lost all that time ago and seeks a donor, and not necessarily a husband. The man she chooses turns out to be Damian Lincoln, an astute businessman, and a challenging individual.

Her life is threatened, and when she realises the reason behind her husband’s death, she seeks protection from the only man she trusts - the skeptical father-to-be.

Courtney's part-time job as a locksmith often sees her helping people out of troublesome situations, but can she come to her own rescue this time when the stakes are so high?

About the Author

Sandy Paull was born in Mackay on the central Queensland coast. She gave up work to be a full-time mother to her three children (now all adults), returning to the workforce in her mid-40s to contribute to her and her husband's mutual goal of overseas travel. She enjoys an active life, avidly enjoying gymnastics and playing basketball as a junior, to coaching schoolgirl basketball as a mother. She has had a long association with Kyokushin Karate, achieving the status of Qld Women's Senior Kata Champion at age 39.

Creativity and persistence are two key drivers in her life. Sketching, macramé, sewing dance costumes, designing and carrying out her own home landscaping, learning keyboard and guitar and fiction writing are examples of her imagination and determination to master new skills.

Sandy started writing 17 years ago, initially for her own enjoyment and these days to challenge herself. She has been a member of the Mackay Writers group as well as the U3A (University of the Third Age) Writers Group. Sandy acknowledges vital guidance and encouragement from a founding member of the Mackay Writers who is also a published author, journalist and editor.

Sandy's first book, 'Clouds of Grey', was published Christmas Eve 2014 and was received enthusiastically, judging by those who reviewed it. She is now proud to release her second novel, and has just completed a third with the intention to publish it before Christmas 2015.
