Another excellent addition to this cozy mystery series. I love Willy, a werecougar, who's in town, undercover, to investigate some curious info regarding the Mayor's wife, Sunny, and to spy on a certain shifter she's had her eye on...but who seems to be running scared. And then things get really complicated when the whistleblower turns up dead. I just loved this book for the characters, the storyline, and the LOL moments.

Willy is an investigator for the council. For more then a year now she has wanted to get back to the cute little town of Peculiar, Missouri but not like this! Not investigating people she has come to think of as friends by order of the council. Then things escalate with a murder, smoking hot Brady shows up and lots of action. This was a great story. I loved the characters, thier so strong and easy to connect to. I loved comming back to viste Peculiar, this book was like a vacation into adventure. Don't miss it shifter fans Voluntarily reviewed a copy and I honestly loved it.

Willy likes her job, usually. Willy loves her friends, always. Willy likes the Were-people of Peculiar, Mo. . When her likes conflict, she has to choose between heart and head. She's sent to town to investigate the possibility of a human living illegally in an all Were town. Except there turns out to be a whole lot more when the grand dam of town is murdered. The investigation turns up much more and some of her friends are in the bull's eye of a crime target. How is her serious attraction to Brady going to be affected? Why hasn't the sheriff done more? Where do her friends fit into this or is it these crimes? I love the relationship of Willy and Brady. A little hesitant, a lot hot. Another good read from Ms. George. This is a cozy with steam. Yep, I always think her mysteries are going to be cozy, but trust me, there is nothing cozy about them. They are steam with a mystery in the world of magic and Weres. The clues are doled out. The perps are not easily figured out and often the least likely. Friendships are one of the best aspects of these stories. The loyal friends and real people--well Weres. Always a good read and this is no exception. I voluntarily reviewed this advanced reader copy and I have not been compensated in any way.
