5 Star Review of In The Red: Nomad Bikers (Devil's Due MC Book 1) by Chelsea Camaron This was a new author to me and what an introduction it was. In The Red: Nomad Bikers is the first book in the new Devil’s Due MC and judging by this book, this series is off to a winning start. The book in my opinion is a dark read, well written and captured my attention from the beginning. I really enjoyed Ms. Camaron writing style and will certainly be looking at her other series. It is certainly gritty and edgy and some of the situations are not for the faint of heart. What happens when a crime so heinous goes unpunished? For the family and friends, it means a life searching for answers and trying to bring the perpetrator to justice. It also means that they are not living a full life. Tragedy struck Emerson Flint when she was 9 years old; she lost her best friend whilst 17 year old Dover ‘Collector’ Ragnes lost the little sister he adored. My heart broke for both Dover and Emerson. Dover’s mission in life is to ensure justice is served on Raleigh’s killer. That is what the Devil’s Due MC does, they serve justice when all else has failed on unsolved crimes. They hunt them down and do what is required to bring justice to those who cannot ask for it. What Dover doesn’t expect is to run into Emerson Flint when he is looking for justice. Will their past impact on their attraction to each other? Will it causer more danger for Emerson? I loved Dover and Emerson together, as a couple and more importantly as individuals. I really liked all the members of the Devil’s Due MC and look forward to reading each of their stories.

I have read many books with Ms. Camaron as a co-writer but this was my first book by herself and wow what a read! The story was told with detail and heartbreaking events that left you speechless. Dover was a typically teenage boy with his whole life ahead of him until one awful afternoon he let his wants get the better of him at the expense of someone he loves. I truly think that Dover became himself after all was said and done, once he realized his true calling in life. His calling may not be the typical way to get things done, but with his selected family alongside, they will show no mercy. Emerson was an average little girl with dolls and playing with her best friend every day; until her childhood was ripped from her and changed her life forever. Emerson never thought she would see him again, let alone a small town she was now making herself a life. Your past always comes back to haunt you regardless if it’s a good past, or a terrible past that you really never left behind. It took me after a few chapters to really get into the story because of so much detail Ms. Camaron put into the book about each place. Once I started to see where this book was headed I couldn’t put it down! I love the firecracker of a woman Emerson became and the banter the crew and everyone threw around at each other. I very much loved getting to know these characters and finding out what drives them to be a part of the Devils Due MC!! I am such a fan and I can’t wait to read book two in the Devil’s Due MC series!! Awesome way to start a series Ms. Camaron!! Review from DayReader Amy M.
