I received a copy to read and review for Wicked Reads, so here is my review. When we last saw Tori she was cleaing up another mess for the F.B.I. Now she is headed home to Micheal and Brian, her brother. She is learning more about her life before she was abducted. She has all this guilt that will drive her crazy if she lets it. She thinks that Michael deserves better than her because of what she had to do and what she has done in the past. She pushes through the guilt and tries to make things better. When Brian goes back to New Jersey, she misses him more than she thought she would. She is torn between her love for both Micheal and Brian. And they both want her with them, Michael in Texas and Brian in New Jersey. There are lots of things happening and Tori can't put everyone in the path of danger because she knows that there are people looking for her. When Brian makes her an offer, will she take it and loose Michael or will he understand and follow? The ending had me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out where this ride that Samanth Jacobey is taking us on will end up. I can't wait for the next book. This is a dark series and should not be read by anyone under the age of 17. **Wicked Reads Review Team**
I am giving this review for author Samantha Jacoby. This is book 5 of the New Life series by the author. Tori Farrell is getting back to her new life with her husband Michael but between her husband and her brother and his band mates and the feds and the mob poor Tori just can't seem to get a break. I loved the story line flow in the book. It was smooth sailing from start to finish. The characters interaction had a couple rough spots but all in all I really liked the book. This is for a more mature romance reader over age +17. It is best to read the books in order because where 1 stops the other 1 starts.
This series is so amazing. Each book adds so much to the story. I made it through this one in just a few hours; I found it impossible to put down. Every time you think Tori can move on and be happy, something happens to change her story. Seeing her grow her relationship with her brother is quite touching, and she has really grown as a person. I'm anxiously awaiting the next book. I loved that Tori and Michael are together the whole book. I love their love and devotion to each other. It's inspiring to think that someone who had no good relationships for 20+ years of her life finds love and gets a HEA, no matter what gets thrown at the couple.
