Growing up in the rough streets of Philadelphia Jaime was always searching for love. She craved the love and attention from her drug-addicted mother that couldn't or rather wasn't able to give. Her father and grandparents did all they could to protect her from the same fate as her mother. Though they tried to protect her she was subjected to some hard truths. At the age of 9, she encountered a man that looked at her young body as if it was that of a grown woman. This interaction started a chain of events that Jaime wouldn't wish on her worst enemy. She begins to crave love from all the dope boys she saw getting major money. She was being called by the same streets that shallowed and spit her mother out. Through all the madness she was betrayed by the one person she allowed herself to ask for help. Her children were stripped away from her for no other reason but to be used as tokens of attention. The old adage "the streets don't owe you nothing" fit Jaime to a tee. She eventually got caught up in the unfair justice system and spent many years away from her children and loved ones. During that time she begins to take a long hard look at herself and all the choices she made, both good and bad. When she was released from prison she came home with one thing on her mind and that was to show all those who doubted her that she could turn all the pain into success. Take this journey with me as I turn inevitable pain into undeniable strength.
