This book is Everly and Storm’s story. This is where they find out that Everly’s deceased husband (Jackson) was far from the good man she thought he was. She has put up with Jackson’s parents treating her like she wasn’t good enough for him especially after his death. Turns out he had a whole other family that she didn’t know about and Rachel, the woman he had kids with, was crazy and OMG that is so convoluted it’s unbelievable. Not to give any more away let’s just say that Ms Ryan’s imagination and writing is very creative. I enjoyed the book immensely and can’t wait to read the next one.

I volunteered to read an ARC of this book. I have been waiting for a Montgomery twin to get his story for awhile now, and every word I read made the wait worth it. i've always looked at the Montgomery twins as something of an enigma. They are present throughout the series but more on the periphery than the other brothers and sisters. I expected an aloof and business-centric Storm but instead got an H who went above and beyond for those he cared about. A man whose emotions ran deep and whose sense of duty was beyond compare. His relationship with Everly was hinted at in some of the other books but the actuality of it was so much more. Everly herself is someone you fall for almost immediately. Her strength, focus and love for her family are something every mother should strive for but it's her vulnerability that shapes the story. The passion that develops between these two characters is off-the-charts and you can't help but sigh when it is realized. This was one of those books I didn't want to end and would have happily read another 50 thousand words of.

I'm going to start out by saying that I found Storm extremely YUMMY! There was just something about him that made him extremely attractive to me and I don't mean in a physical way. I think it had a lot to do with the way he cared for Everly and her twin sons, James and Nathan, even though Everly tried to push him away after her husband's, Jackson, death. If you have read any of the Montgomery Ink series, and I really suggest that you do, you will know that they are a strong knit family so when Storm is hiding a secret they know, especially his twin Wes, Storm has been hiding a secret for twenty years, and now he has another one to hide and this will be the one that actually pushes Wes to do something about it because Wes feels that it is beginning to drive a wedge between them, not only are they twins but they are best friends too. There are a LOT of secrets that are exposed in this book and they not only Storm's, there is also someone after Everly. When the secrets spill....because you know that secrets always have a way of coming out...will Everly and Storm have a chance at a HEA? ***I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Readers Copy of this book***

I voluntarily read this advanced readers copy of this book. Carrie Ann Ryan has done it again and wrote a fabulous book. She kept me enthralled from start to finish and I couldn’t put the book down. I love the Montgomery Ink series and cannot wait for the next book in the series to come out.

Inked Expressions By: Carrie Ann Ryan ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 Star Review by Kristie K From the machine that is Carrie Ann Ryan comes another tantalizing look into the world of those delectable Montgomery’s… Inked Expressions is the seventh installment of the Montgomery Ink series, and follows the life, times, trials, and tribulations of Storm Montgomery. When the book begins, we watch as Storm and his best friend’s pregnant wife, Everly, banter and share a friendship that most would kill for. But, that happy time quickly comes to a halt when the police show up at Everly’s door to inform her of a tragic accident that has taken the life of his friend and her husband, Jackson. As Everly processes the information, her water breaks and she delivers her sons…twin boys, and proceeds to learn how to live a life and raise her children without their father. Storm had always promised his friend that he would look after his family, but when tragedy strikes, Everly pushes storm away, and their relationship becomes a bit more strained. Three years pass, and unthinkable acts of cruelty and malice attempt to rip Everly apart piece by piece. As always, Storm is there…helping Everly in any way he can to make her life and the life of those two boys as good as possible. Fighting a change in their relationship for a long time, Storm and Everly find it harder and harder to keep each other at arms length. When they finally give into their growing desire for one another, more challenges fly at them, complicating things further. Will they be able to wade through tragedy to find their love? This is the first of the Montgomery Ink series that I have read, though I have experienced Ms. Ryan’s paranormal worlds before. I was very intrigued, and drawn into this story of love, loss, betrayal, tragedy, and ultimate redemption. The Montgomery family has always called to me, so I jumped at the chance to finally read one of their stories. The first thing I noticed was the sexy as hell cover, and the captivating blurb. Storm and Everly’s story called to me on a primal level, and I was thrilled to see it come to completion. The characters were authentic and real, both harboring demons and secrets of their own. Their compassion, strength, and love were inspiring and heartbreaking. I fell in love with them all immediately, and desperately want to become a part of the Montgomery clan! The plot and storyline were creative and well thought out, and detailed. My only disappointment was that it seemed to drag on. In areas that didn't require a lot of detail, the story dragged. Then at other times, it skipped over what I would consider important plot points and twists. There was a lot of turmoil in this book, and the plot twists were somewhat predictable. The plot twists weren’t concentrated on nearly as much as some of the lesser points, and honestly, the sex. Now, I LOVE a steamy sex scene as much as the next girl, but I love a flawlessly executed plot even better. So, it may not have been everything I hoped for, but I wasn’t too disappointed. I will be checking out more of the Montgomery family, and look forward to seeing them all again. Kristie K

"Inked Expressions" is an inventively sexy romance with a compelling and engrossing storyline. Carrie Ann Ryan gives the reader an Alpha Hero riddled with guilt with more yet to be heaped upon him. Everly Law's a single mother, weighed down with active twins who suffer from health problems. She's a business owner and has relied on her late husband's best friend, Storm Montgomery for three years. But has distanced herself from him lately. Unfortunately, her sons have grown close to "Uncle Storm" and ask for him in times of need. Everly has a problem of internalizing her troubles and she has many. She's buried by the burden of owning an independent bookstore, judgmental in-laws, employees relying on her, and a demanding budget. Storm's harboring twenty year-old secrets from his friends and family, even from his own twin. Above all Storm is loyal and puts others before himself. Always. "Inked Expressions" is sexy, thrilling, and rife with emotion. Carrie Ann Ryan gives Storm Montgomery some inventive sexual tricks to pull out which is quite a lot of fun! However, Storm is more of a gentleman than I like. I would prefer him to have more of a filthy mouth and dirty talk to accompany his creative sexual positions. I do wish Everly would get out of her head more but it is extremely understandable. I understand why it isn't conducive to the plot development. Storm develops in that he opens up and shares his secrets with his family and Everly. As for Everly she lets go of her past, stands up for herself, and embraces her present and future. Carrie Ann Ryan's Montgomery Ink series never disappoints and as always is an automatic purchase for me. Inked Expressions was phenomenal and I enjoyed every minute of it! The evolution of Everly Law and Storm Montgomery's relationship was HOT! Complicated and intricate, but steamy! A must read!

I love the Montgomery family. Storm is strong and hot, and maybe a little broken. Everly is knocked down quite a bit it seems, but just keeps standing stronger. And together they're amazing. Loved reading how they came together. There were stressful moments and lots of emotions, but lots more loving moments. Loved this!!

I voluntary reviewed an ARC copy of this book. I am hard pressed to find anything Carrie Ann Ryan writes that I don’t enjoy. I am not a fan of contemporary romance but I know that Ryan rarely, if ever, disappoints. Inked Expressions has everything you come to love from a Ryan contemporary romance: characters with more depth than the Grand Canyon, a storyline as entertaining as it is romantic, and let’s not leave out the steamy scenes between a couple you’ll root for from page one. Not to mention it is a friends to lovers story which is hands down one of my favorite tropes.

I love everything Carrie Ann, and this was no exception. I adore the Montgomery bunch and always look forward to them. These stories always have such a good storyline and great family bonds behind them to. Storm and Everly have known each other since college, and have been nothing but friends. When Jonathan dies, Everly husband and Storms best friend he steps up to help Everly and her newborns in typical Montgomery fashion, they always protect there loved ones fiercely. After what seems like forever the tides sort of change for these two and they start to see each other differently which takes them by surprise and leaves them on edge around each other. I have loved Storms mysterious persona and now we know why he's always seemed miserable in a way, he's holding one heck of secret. And Everly was a phenomenal heroine, she truly showed the meaning of strength and devotion!! I voluntarily reviewed a advanced readers copy of this book

Storm is a man with secrets. Everly is a woman whose life isn’t what she thinks it is. Both Storm and Everly have been fighting an attraction that they didn’t realize was there. Secrets are revealed, some of which attempt to ruin the life they are trying to build together. I love Everly and Storm! She is amazing and handles everything that is thrown at her with grace and strength. Storm is so supportive of her, and stands beside her no matter what. I love how supportive and accepting this family is, and it just gets better with each book. It seems like they have a limitless supply of love and compassion for anyone they meet. I’ve loved each of the Montgomery Ink books, but Everly and Storm just seem so real, that I can’t help but love them. Each book seems to be better than the last, and their world pulls you in right from the beginning.

Right when I think there's no way I could find a character that I love more than the last one, Carrie Ann writes another amazing man. The women are amazing in this series, but THESE MEN! Ugh... they make me want to scour the country for a man like these men! Storm is one of the best yet, and that is NO exaggeration. This guy has gone through so much, and continues to go through so much, for his family. He went through so much for his friend even, but he still keeps getting screwed over. Time and time again these poor people just keep getting pummeled with issues. BUT, this family doesn't take to the words no and issues well, they keep on moving. With all of that being said, Everly is such a strong woman! She also keeps getting pummeled with issues, but she keeps going. I love that she has someone like Storm in her life, and I also love that her boys want him around. There are so many parts to this book that made me tear up, but Storm with her boys were always the sappiest for me. She was so strong, but she also didn't know how to accept help. Apart with how he is with the boys, Everly and Storm have such a strong spark! Their compatibility is through the roof, and I'm so excited to see it come to live in Inked Expressions. This makes me that much more excited for Wes!!! Bring me another brother that I can love more than the last

Inked Expressions is book 7 in the Montgomery Ink series. It is fully stand alone however this series is so good that I recommend them all and they others are about this characters brothers and sisters. This one follows Storm and Everly. Storm is one of the Montgomery twins and owns part of the family business. Everly is Storm's best friend's widow. I absolutely loved this book! I have been waiting for the twins to get their own books and really hoping that they would be great and it doesn't disappoint at all. Storm is a strong, loving, and courageous man. He had something horrible happen to him in his past that shaped every portion of his life. The problem is that only a couple people know what happened and he holds all of his feelings inside. Everly was pregnant with her own twins when her husband was killed. Little does she know how hard her life would become or even what secrets her husband withheld from her. There were so many unexpected parts to this book along with twists and turns that I certainly never saw coming. I loved every minute of it. Storm and Everly together are such a strong couple and I love how they learn they can lean on each other for everything! I cannot wait for the next book in this series, along with the planned spinoff!!

There is no such thing as a bad Carrie Ann Ryan book. Her Montgomery Series just tugs at your heartstrings as these people seem so genuine and real and gritty. Storm Montgomery has a secret he's kept for 20 years and it's starting to hurt his relationship with his twin, Wes. As he struggles with this he is also fighting his new feelings for his best friend's widow Everly. He's done his best to be there for her and her twin boys since Jackson was killed on the eve of their birth three years ago. Everly is a hard working, loving mom who owns the bookstore and works tirelessly to be both mom and dad to her boys while providing for them. This friends to lovers story has all the Montgomery goodness you've come to expect from Carrie Ann Ryan. It's hot, sexy, sweet and just a little dirty. 5 stars for Carrie Ann's latest.

Storm Montgomery is a conflicted guy with so much pain inside him and he is falling for his best friend's widow desperately. Everly is a widow single mother of two who is struggling like crazy to cope with bringing up her boys and keep her business. The Montgomery family is back again in this sexy, real and tough story. This couple is so real and they are so in love! It is sexy, strong and well written. I like the way the author has a special place for every one in the Montgomery clan and still keeps Storm and Everly's romance deep and thoughtful. I loved this book and looking forward to the next one!

Inked Expressions is Book 7 of the Montgomery Ink series. This series is one of my all-time favorites so I highly recommend reading them all but each one does stand well on its own and doesn't need to be read in order. Wow! This book was AMAZING! Carrie Ann Ryan knocked it out of the park with this one. I probably sound cliche but these stories just keep getting better and better with every one. As much as I loved the first books in the series, that's a tall order indeed! There were so many twists that I didn't see coming. Ms. Ryan kept me on the edge of my seat throughout. Storm and Everly are my new favorite couple. Very enjoyable! I cannot wait to read the next book in the series. The author definitely set up some teasers of what's to come.

A great addition to the Montgomery Ink series!! Loved Storm's story - a bit of a slow burn romance seeing that he and Everly have known each other for years. A sort of friends to lovers story! Storm was best friends since childhood with Everly's husband and when he dies on the eve of their twins birth Storm steps in and helps her where he can. Fast forward 3 years, he is still helping her but she feels uncomfortable asking for too much help. However circumstances unfold where she needs his help and they come to rely on each other more and more. Loved that they took a chance on each other and made it work in the end. A very sweet story that tugged on my heartstrings for sure!! Looking forward to Wes' story but will be sad to see the main Montgomery family saga come to a conclusion! Bittersweet for sure. I voluntarily reviewed and Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Author Carrie Ann Ryan has done it again! Storm Montgomery has been sitting quietly among his boisterous siblings just waiting for his turn to break our hearts. And oh how his story tore me up. When he finds himself falling for his best friends widow, Everly, I thought things would pick up for them but nooo the author had to put them through even more stuff before they could get their happy. This book will take you on an emotional ride you won’t soon forget.
