About the Author

Once a self-identified “revolutionary socialist”, Vancouver peace activist Christopher Jacob Rooney’s world views and ideals evolved drastically when he had his first encounter with the non-violent and revolutionary writings of the Gospel. Having traversed the trials and tribulations of depression and mental illness, he has taken a great deal of inspiration from the loving acceptance of Christ, as well as the writings of famous social activists Gandhi, Ammon Hennacy, and Dorothy Day, just to name a few. As editor of the Christian Radical, and an active member of the Catholic Worker Movement, Christopher has dedicated his life to the service of others.
