About the Author

SERGE ALLEGREZZA holds a PhD in applied economics, and has been director general of STATEC (The Institute for Statistics and Economic Studies of Luxembourg) since April 2003. He is also head of the Competitiveness Observatory (Ministry of Economics and Foreign Trade, Luxembourg) and serves as a board member of state owned IT companies. He has previously advised the government on electronic commerce at the Ministry of Economics.

ANNEDUBROCARD is Head of the Research Unit at STATEC. She holds a PhD in Economics from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales, France. She created and led a research team supported by STATEC and the Ministry of Economics exploring productivity and firm performance in Luxembourg.
