Overview

For nearly six hundred years, Vlad Tepesh cared for nothing, so he had nothing to lose. His brutal reputation ensured that all but the most foolhardy stayed away. Now, falling in love with Leila has put him at the mercy of his passions. And one adversary has found a devastating way to use Vlad’s new bride against him.

A powerful spell links Leila to the necromancer Mircea. If he suffers or dies, so does she. Magic is forbidden to vampires, so Vlad and Leila enlist an unlikely guide as they search for a way to break the spell. But an ancient enemy lies in wait, capable of turning Vlad and Leila’s closest friends against them . . . and finally tearing the lovers apart forever.

Frost website says the release date is now Feb 2017- some info on our pre order would have been nice instead of having to search for info, I'm giving it a good rating because I'm sure it will be good• still pissed about no notice!!

I love the Cat and Bones books, I adore the Vlad and Leila books, and I really enjoyed reading the single spin off stories! I can't wait to read Ian's book next.... I hope its a series and not just a stand alone spin off book.

There is a lot happening in this book. It kept me engrossed up to the end, with enough left open for more adventures. I enjoyed the series and look forward to see Vlad and Leila popping up again.

3/2017 jsb I waited with anticipation for this book. I am so sorry for the recent losses of this Author. So I will not give a review. I know she will get her legs under her again and knock our socks off with her future books. She is an amazing writer, I look forward to her future works.

Love Vlad & Leila's story!!

This book is absolutely Frost at her best. Leila has always been my favorite of her heroines (sorry, Cat, you're a close second!) and truly comes into her own. I adored Vlad from the moment we met the Show Hound in the Night Huntress series which you really MUST read first (including Ian and Mench's books) to truly understand and appreciate him. Why the 4 stars instead of 5? Because there were a *few* times I felt a bit of deja vu, and I really feel that Bound by Flames and this boo could have been combined to make a PERFECT trilogy - especially as we all knew what came next, and who wasn't just dying (har har) to get to Ian? So, I'm sad to see the last of Leila as the protagonist. But I feel it's past time to move on, and let her and Vlad have a little peace and maybe adopt a flame-proofed baby or two (although I can't imagine for a moment that Leila will not insist on being front and center when Ian needs her). Now I cannot WAIT to get on to the Night World's TRUE ultimate bad boy!

Is truly the End? 4 seems to be short for Frost. I suspect there's room for more. 5 is better. So is 9.

This is the fourth and final book in The Night Prince series. It must be read in order and the first book is Once Burned. The hunt is on for a way to free Leila from the curse that bonds her to Mircea. They need to find him first, and that is only one of the obstacles they face. Someone is using Mircea to manipulate Vlad, because now he has his own kryptonite. He will do anything to protect the woman he loves, and the person or persons in the shadows know this. This final installment is well woven and even finally answers some key questions about Leila and her powers. Plus, it sets up her next series, that is also set in The Night Huntress World of vampires, with Veritas and Ian. I will miss Vlad, and maybe Leila, she did sort of grow on me. A well done, not disappointing ending to this series.

The previous book in this series came out in 2015 and I found myself having the same difficulty with this book as I’ve had with so many others.  Not enough recap and I just didn’t recall enough of the overall story.  It was hard for me to get back into this world without having more of a refresher.   The story was fast-paced and loaded with action, however, I also found it got bogged down with too much stuff that just had me scratching my head.  Ani-kutanie and the trueborn witch stuff felt so forced until I realized that it plays into Frost’s next series.  But until I realized that I was like “WTF”.   The dedication and love between Leila and Vlad was sweet and a bit twisted at times but, these two never got into my heart they way Bones and Cat did.  I am looking forward to Ian story.

It was so good . It made me anxious, smile, and cry. It truly was a great ending for Vlad & Leila. I was hoping for more info on gggreat grandma, but the action more then made up for that.

Vlad and Leila end their tale in a sort of anti-climatic yet shocking fashion! A few loose threads bubbled storyline, but overall it was a solid finale. However, I do feel the Night Prince series ended on a high note because of Ian! He plays a large role in this book and I am thrilled he's finally going to get his own story! He's just too dang hard to ignore and once he opens his mouth and spews his raunchy sense of humor..he never fails to send me into fits of laughter! His love interest was a surprise for me, and I can't wait to read their dynamics!
