Children are famous for using and abusing furniture, which they will only learn more of by reading "Is Everybody Ready for FUN?" The book is a picture book in bright colors, with thick lined cartoonish art, about three mischievous moose that keep bouncing, dancing, and wiggling on their friend chicken's sofa. Since the moose are so big and the sofa so small, it gets progressively more and more squished as the book goes on, and the chicken gets very agitated! The text and art for the book are repetitive, with similiar pictures and text repeating the question, "Is everyone ready for FUN? It's time to..." and then adding dancing, wiggling, jumping, and napping on the chicken's couch. The book ends with the moose napping in a pile on the couch, with the chicken joining them. This book has engaging art and humor that many children should find fun, but it might also encourage them to start jumping and dancing on their local couch. Parents and librarians who don't fear that should stock this book, but others should act with caution.

Until Chicken intervenes. They are ready to wiggle on Chicken¿s sofa. Until Chicken intervenes. Finally, they are ready to nap. Napping sounds good to the three cows. Another great book by Jan Thomas. My kids love Jan Thomas books (Rhyming Dust Bunnies, What Will Fat Cat Sit On?, etc.), and this one is no exception. This time there are far too many cows for one chicken to handle.
