Judy Stead has worked as a teacher, graphic designer, art director, illustrator, author, and painter. She's illustrated more than a dozen children's books including Snowy, Blowy Winter and Best Friends on Wheels. She lives with her family in North Carolina where her "treetop" studio overlooks some of Mother Nature's wildest work.
