Overview

Issued to the Bride One Airman by Cora Seton

Airman Connor O'Riley never believed in love until he saw proof of it in the most unlikely place--a battlefield in the middle of the Syrian civil war. Now he's in hot water with the Air Force, and if he wants to clear his name he'll have to put his new-found belief in love to the test--by convincing his superior officer's daughter to marry him.

Sadie Reed is done with love. Her poor choices nearly got her sisters killed when she fell for a man entrenched in the drug trade. She's ready to leave Chance Creek-just as soon as her sister returns from her honeymoon. So when a handsome airman shows up at Two Willows, with orders from her father to help Sadie build a legacy project, she gives Connor one month to get it done.

Connor never thought he'd fall for Sadie, but when he learns she means to leave, he knows far more than his mission--and his future--is at stake. Can he convince her to stay?

Or will love remain out of his reach for good?

The Reed when can hold their own and I love that about this series! Excellent!

I think this is my favorite couple. Sadie and Connor are both so connected with the Earth and living growing things. It would be my ideal life growing a nuturing and healing garden to be shared with others.

This is book two in the series and so far I'm loving it and the series. Its full of action, suspense and mystery. Not to mention some hot love scenes. It's something about that rock and a thunderstorm that sets the love making on fire. Connor and Sadie had a connection that could not be denied. Talk about your other half. They make a very strong couple together. Sade lost her connection to the land until she fell in love with Connor who gave her the love and strength she needed. Some times I don't know whether to laugh or cry because each girl needs love and their father is making it possible but he's the one they need. I love the fact that the sister are strong and powerful and need very strong men to tame. Lol!!! This is a must read book and series. Looking forward to the next story. Knock, Knock, Whose there your future Husband!!!

Excellent stand-alone book in a series about Chance Creek. It begins with a wedding, Sadie's sister, and Connor O'Riley showing up at Two Willows ranch. Sadie is in her bridesmaid gown and looking as lovely as ever. Even though her father, the General who sent Connor to Two Willows, has not returned home since his wife died, somehow he is trying to send good men to help his daughters in his absence. But Sadie just had the boyfriend from hell experience. She was done! Her garden was dying and telling her it didn't even want her here. We learn that Rose isn't the only one in Chance Creek to get "hunches", but Sadie seems to have lost her ability to commune with the land. That is, until Connor arrives and they are somehow touching. He is there to help build her legacy--a walled garden, as it turns out. She is finding herself connecting with him as he opens the conduit to hear what her plants need again. Both souls search their past, Connor's parent’s divorce and his flirty, Irish rogue habit, and how all that affects him, and Sadie's bad choice with former boyfriend/cheat/criminal Mark. Yet, somehow they connect and know this is different. They want each other. There are cameo appearances by other members of Chance Creek, but this is the story of Sadie and Connor--maybe Connor's parents too (he has them coming together again for three weeks to try to get them to resolve their issue of distance between Texas and Ireland, or at least communicate directly) as they have been invited to his wedding (before he even proposed). But trouble lurks on the ranch. Mystery, love, gardening, a wedding (or more?)...this book truly satisfies. Cora Seton brings another couple's amazing story to life once again.

ARC for honest review with no compensation The continuing saga of the Brides of Chance Creek, Book 2 by Cora Seton and what a way to continue this series! ! ! This story is about Sadie Reed and Connor O’Riley and of course, the General August Reed and along with the letters from his deceased wife he is sending a man from his unit which he has handpicked to marry each of his daughters and to keep them safe from harm and to make Two Willows (the ranch) prosper. Lots of mystery, suspense, intrigue, sexy banter, secrets, shoot outs, spiritual magic and finding love when you least expect it. Once you start this book you won’t be able to put it down until the last word is read…..can’t wait for the next book in this series.
