Issued to the Bride One Marine by Cora Seton

Marine Logan Hughes uses humor like a shield because the twists and turns his life has taken have led him far from the path he was supposed to tread. He's no priest, and despite his parents' continued hope, he has no desire to become one. Still, he's no devil, either. So when his attempt to protect an innocent person lands him with two choices-the brig or marriage to a woman he doesn't know-he chooses marriage. Which means denying his family's plans for him once and for all.

Lena Reed doesn't find it funny at all that three times her father has sent a man to help with her ranch, and three times one of her sisters has married him. She's not falling for that trick. She was born to run the cattle operation at Two Willows, and no man is going to take that away from her. So when Logan arrives, she'll do whatever she can to keep him at arm's length. Only problem is the marine refuses to stay there. Bit by bit, he's wearing down her resistance to him. But will giving into her feelings mean giving up her dreams?

Oohrah! Charge into this binge-worth book and I am certain you will enjoy it! I adored Logan, and Lena was adorable too. Logan is handsome, big muscles, and a tender heart when it comes to protecting women. Lena is self-made, self-reliant, independent, and not having anything more to do with men since her father, the General, left and remained at work when their mother died. Add one manipulative, horrible ex-boyfriend to the mix, and her reluctance to date a man her father sent on a mission to marry her, after enticing him with her photo and stories for months, is completely understandable. However, can Logan be useful as a hired man? Then a set of twins and their uncle is added to the mix. Who will win her over? Will trouble befall their ranch once again. Brilliantly written, this love story stands alone with some cross over characters (sisters, etc.) who each have their own independent story. There are some sex scenes described and an HEA. I noticed several reviewers hammered this book with a LOW rating ONLY BECAUSE they had not yet received the book. I guess it was delayed several weeks which can be frustrating, but I am sure the book is better for it and worth the wait. I truly enjoyed this book and look forward to the next Cora Seton release.

This is just filler in the series. No excitement at all.

Lena fights it hard to prove she doesn't need anyone except her sisters to successfully run the ranch, but even the most pround and bullheaded people eventually need to ease up and let others in. Logan seems to be a wise cracking player with little to offer, but underneath we find a loyal and solid man with just as much steel in his backbone as is needed to bring the wild firecracker in to his loving arms. I enjoyed seeing these two dance around and struggle on their way to the altar though there were moments when I wanted to smack sense into Lena so she would drop the barricades and get out of her own way. This leaves one last book to the series. Can't wait.

Don't let the low overall rating fool you! Some reviewers had problems with pre orders and gave it 1 star ratings because of of that. I truly enjoyed Lena and Logan's story. If you have enjoyed the rest of the series so far you won't be disappointed! I can't wait for the next book in the series!

This series just keeps getting better and better! Lena is the hard nosed sister, dddcided she doesn't need a man, that she s capable all on her own. Logan is the tough Marine who sees how hard Lena is struggling with showing any weakness, so he figures out a way to let her lead and help at the same time. And to be honest every time Logan called Lena, "Baby girl", she may have hated it, but the reader couldnt help but fall in love with him just a little bit more. Lena and Logan's story has been my favorite do far, and I loved the snipers of Jack and Alice's story to come, on pins and needles waiting f or it.

This is my least favorite in the series. Lena is too angry to think clearly and has violent tendencies. Too much time between release of books.

Logan has come to Two Willows Ranch for Lena. These women have come to expect them from wedding to wedding. Lena has her secrets and her gift that is connected to Two Willows, but the last thing she want is for her father, the General, to send another man to take over her ranch, a ranch she feels she is perfectly capable of running. Logan has been greeting Lena's picture every morning for months now, and it is finally his turn. But, he's fighting to be something his family didn't expect him to be, and he wants to be that person with Lena. Will they be able to find their way through the family mire to true love with each other? And what sinister plan lurks in the shadows, trying once again to destroy what the women have worked so hard to build? This author has build a world that draws us in and invites us to live there. Chance Creek is filled with colorful characters, hard working and beautiful women, and sprawling ranches, and it's a place to find your happily ever after. Of course, it isn't easy, and it may involve a serviceman or two. Every time one story ends, I want the next one. I can't wait to see what comes from her mind next.

ARC for honest review with no compensation The continuing saga of the Brides of Chance Creek, Book 4 by Cora Seton and what a way to continue this series as the men keep coming to Two Willows! ! ! This story is about Lena Reed and Logan Hughes and of course, the General August Reed and along with the letters from his deceased wife. When the General reads the letters he chooses another man from his unit which he has handpicked to marry each of his daughters and keep them safe from harm and to make Two Willows (the ranch) prosper. Lena is a strong, independent, beautiful, take charge kind of woman who is determined to not marry any man her father sends to the ranch. She strongly believes that all the men (her sister’s husbands) and the man sent to marry her want is to take the ranch and prove she is not capable of running the ranch because she is a woman and she believes that’s what the General thinks to since he keeps sending another man…and she will do whatever she must in order for that not to happen. Logan Hughes is a Marine, strong, built like a bull, sexy and has a heart of gold. He is determined to marry Lena but he must prove to her that the men are there to help her protect Two Willows not take the ranch from her and she is more than capable of being the overseer of the ranch. But as usual something always happens to put everyone in danger…being twins Ray and Harley and an uncle who are determined to destroy everyone on the ranch. Can Lena and Logan figure out that they truly belong together and come together to save the ranch from another attack and find their own HEA like her other sisters or will she finally force Logan to leave and all will fall apart at the ranch?? Lots of sexy banter, sword fight, two strong willed people, spiritual magic and finding love when you least expect it. Once you start this book you won’t be able to put it down until the last word is read…..can’t wait for the next book in this series.

Cue the happy sigh... *AWWWW* Lena and Logan were absolutely perfect! Another wonderful romance in this series. Lighter on the suspense, but you get a great sense of both these characters and how they fit together. I was freaking out at the diner scene and the ending! Now, I'm dying that I have to wait to find out how the series will end!
