The definitive autobiography of Willie Nelson.

"Unvarnished. Funny. Leaving no stone unturned." . . . So say the publishers about this book I've written. What I say is that this is the story of my life, told as clear as a Texas sky and in the same rhythm that I lived it.

It's a story of restlessness and the purity of the moment and living right. Of my childhood in Abbott, Texas, to the Pacific Northwest, from Nashville to Hawaii and all the way back again. Of selling vacuum cleaners and encyclopedias while hosting radio shows and writing song after song, hoping to strike gold.

It's a story of true love, wild times, best friends, and barrooms, with a musical sound track ripping right through it. My life gets lived on the road, at home, and on the road again, tried and true, and I've written it all down from my heart to yours.

Signed, Willie Nelson.

If you have always enjoyed Willie Nelson and love reading about a very interesting life, you will like this book. I think it is his best. It backs up everything I've heard about the man he is and always was. I love that it has the words to so many of his songs in here and how he came to write them. This is great insight to this man and his music.

Being a long time fan of Willie and living in Texas for 21+ years the reading was most enjoyable. Willie writes as he speaks! A few &$#* words made the book seem real.

Love this book, could not put it down! What a life he has had and told in his own colorful style he says it like is for sure! Of course I would love to read a sequel by all his wives but he does not bash them which is nice and his kids still like him too!

I enjoyed each tidbit of Willie'a life and career. His music is truly with a gift from God. Rough around the edges but smooth as silk in the heart. Let the circle not be broken.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I started reading this book, and it was great. There were a few long winded bits, but it was worth the read. It was well written and interesting. Willie is a greater person than I knew in the first place. 2 thumbs up!
