77 pages. Seriously why are the authors charging so much for so little. It would be nice to get a page count BEFORE you buy a book.

This is the first book I've read by Lia Davis but it won't be the last. It is the first in a new series which features vampires, witches, gargoyles and demons. Alasdair and Gideon are a perfect pair but they both long to be part of a Triad which will strengthen both them and their bond. They have looked for many years but to no avail. They are also looking for a family memento which will help them in the war against the demons, led by the Vampire Queen's sister, Violet. The memento is a journal by one of the original vampires which shows up in a shop in Boston. Gideon finds it, is given permission to go to retrieve and sets off. When he gets there, he not only finds the journal but their mate too. The thing I loved about this book is Rhianna - she is a blend of being both fully capable of looking after herself and being frustrated with being protected whilst also still having that vulnerable side. She is feisty and clever and will fit perfectly into the Triad - once she makes her mind up. This is a fast-paced, well-written storyline with a few minor editing issues - a couple of words being mis-spelled although still correctly, for example "Tell you Lord" instead of "Tell your Lord." Nothing that will ruin the enjoyment of this novella and enjoy it I did! The first of a new series that I am looking forward to. So many storylines coming off this one, I'd be hard pressed to say which I would like next so instead I will just look forward to whoever shows up! Definitely recommended for all fans of a short, hot, vampiric read.

Great Book! Alasdair, vampire lord of the South Atlantic region and his mate Gideon have been in search of his grandmother’s ancient journal for centuries. This journal holds the secrets and could destroy the vampire race if found in the wrong hands. While out searching for the journal, Gideon finds out that Rhianna has the journal, she knows how important it is to keep safe. She is also Gideon and Alasdair’s mate. Now they must convince Rhianna that they are her mates, and keep the journal safe. This is a short story but has a great story that will keep you reading until the end.  A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

Overall Rating:  4 Rockin’ Stars This is the first book in Lia Davis' new series about vampires, gargoyles and other supernatural beings.  This book brings together two bonded vampires that need their third to form a triad.  It is a world filled with mystery, betrayal and an undeniable that only a mate will satisfy.     Alasdair Morgan is one of the oldest vampires still alive and a bonded mate to Gideon. He had rescued Gideon from a gargoyle attack and had been forced to turn him into a vampire to save his mate.  Gideon and Alasdair have been searching for the other part of their bond, their mate that will complete them.  Alasdair is fighting to stay sane and the only hope he has is to find his ancestors journal.  The ancient journal can be used to destroy the Vampire Queen if it falls into the wrong hands. They have been searching for it and finally Gideon locates it in New York City. Will he be in time to retrieve it?  Or will their enemies find?  Alasdair is harboring a secret that will destroy him if Gideon does not succeed.     Rhianna Howell is the adoptive daughter of the Vampire Lord of New York City.   Her father has protected her and kept Rhianna’s secrets safe.  When she finds an ancient journal, she knows that it is important and must be kept safe at all cost.  She tells no one what she has found and uses her gift to secure it. Rhianna is a very special other!  She lives as a human but has different supernatural blood running through her veins.  When she meets Gideon a bond begins to form.  Gideon knows that she is their mate and will complete the triad. He just needs to convince her to trust him and return with him to Alasdair. Will Rhianna trust Gideon and complete their triad? Hero: Alasdair Morgan 4 stars Hero: Gideon 4 stars Heroine: Rhianna Howell 4 stars Plot:  4 stars Steam Level:  4 stars Cliffhanger:  No Would I recommend this book: Yes! This is a super-hot, sexy story that involves to alpha vampire males and a fiery female!  They need each other to save the supernatural world and themselves!    Would I recommend this author: Yes! I really do love my Vampires and Gideon and Alasdair were definitely easy to love.  The story content was promising and the plot intriguing, but I did feel some areas seemed rushed, especially the end. I am interested to see where the series goes and will read the next book, however I do hope the editing improves as it was sub standard in this book.

Ménage m/m/f How much I like this book will really depend on where the next one takes us.  It's A Vampire Christmas really isn’t a Christmas story so much as a story that takes place at Christmas time.  It is the first (I hope) of a series.  This series has the chance to become epic.  There is a war coming between the Vampire Queen and her evil sister.  The Vampire Lords have to choose sides.  Oh and there are magical artifacts to be found. In It's A Vampire Christmas Alasdair and his mate Gideon not only find one of the artifact they find their third.  This is where my issues come in.  I want to know a whole lot more about Rhianna.  How did she come to be a foundling?  Is she a part of a prophecy? What exactly are her powers?  For that matter what powers does Alasdair have?  He is this really old vampire but we saw none of his gifts besides charming the pants off of Gideon and Rhianna?  So as much as I liked this, and I really did like this it left me wanting more and afraid that I am never going to get the answers.

***Great Book*** I received this book as an ARC from Lia Davis for a review: Alasdair sent his mate Gideon to retrieve a journal from his great grandmother Annamarie.  Not only does Gideon find the journal but Alasdair and his mate Rhianna; who is half witch, half gargoyle. Gideon takes Rhianna and the journal back to Florida. Read and find out about their journey. This is the first book of a new series called "Vampire Lords".  I am looking forward to more books in this series. Lia Davis also has other great series: Ashwood Falls, Sons of War, Harmony Springs along with other great books. This is a must read! Great job, Lia.

***Excellent Start To A New Series!*** Love Alasdair and Gideon, add Rhianna and you have one hot triad!! Alasdair is on the hunt for an ancient journal that belongs to his family, when he finds it he sends his mate Gideon to retrieve it but things never go as planned. Rhianna stumbles on it first and knows she needs to keep it safe but who can she trust!? Can she trust the gorgeous Alasdair and Gideon? Can they convince her that she is their mate? There is danger and deception all around them, will they figure out what is happeneing in time to complete their bond and keep the journal safe? Fantastic start to a new series by Lia!

As soon as I heard that Ms. Davis was going to be writing a story set around Christmas with paranormal creatures including vampires I knew I had to have this book in my hot little hands as soon as was humanly possible. The additional bonus is that this is a menage story which have steadily moved up my favorite genre list. And as is typical Ms. Davis takes the story and the reader on an epic tale of love, intrigue and villainous characters. Our heroes have been hunting for a lost artifact and have stumbled upon its acquisition at an antique story. But these two men’s quest has included the addition of a female mate to solidify and strengthen their bond. Fortunately both quests may very well be accomplished with one trip to New York City. These two men are so different in character but after reading this book an additional time this weekend you really see the complexity of not just their individuality but what makes their relationship so unique. Both men are strong and yet have true ‘human’ failings that really speaks to the soul of their combined complexity as a pair. And the spunkiness and grit of the heroine is what truly encapsulates this story. She is a woman that refuses to be placed to the side and has the ability to ‘play ball’ with two vampires that might otherwise be able to overpower or intimidate her. She isn’t afraid to tell both of these men exactly what she wants and that they are wrong. The addition of magic, demons and a few other paranormal creatures to this world make it a true delight to read. There are many ways this world can be shaped and I will look forward in the months/years to come to see how it is fleshed out. Looking for passion between the three characters? Check. Looking for a romance that will make you wish you could live in this world full time? Check. Want a story set at Christmas time with a little more bang for your buck? Double Check. Final Thoughts: This is a wonderful start to a new series by Ms. Davis that I will pick up as soon as they are released and I strongly encourage you to do the same. Vampire Lords Series Will you continue with the series: Yes Will you read something by this author again: Of course! Fated Desire Publishing provided me with a copy of It’s A Vampire Christmas but nothing else was exchanged for my honest review.
