What's the point of a short short story where you get treated like crap. That's not a romance it's pain

Something is going on with these comments--many are tied to an older Julia Quinn historical romance novel. This is a contemporary romance novella by Caitie Quinn. It's very short, only 40 pages (that's why it's free! and a teaser to her larger series). I found the premise laughably implausible, though the writing is energetic and enjoyable. Kind of like a predictable movie that you watch anyway because at least people aren't murdering each other for once. The writing really is good here and I'd love to try out this author's full length novels.

Too short! I want to know more about Jenna and Ben.

How cute! I loved this short story! Jenna is awkwardly adorable, and had me laughing out loud. This is the first thing I've read by the author, and I'm definitely wanting more. I have a feeling I'm really going to enjoy this series!

This is an awful 40 page novella. The writer needs to write a scene for a first kiss in her next book featuring a 17 year old. The writer doesn't remember how to kiss, thus this idiotic novella.

Not what I expected, pleasantly surprised!

Very cute and amusing short story. 35 pages after the normal pre-stuff. Wish it were longer. Look forward to reading more from this author.
