Katie Reus - It's Me Again, Baby (O'Connor Family Series - Book 3) As story of second chances with the help, of course, from the matriarch of the O’Connor family. A wonderful story of second chances with Samantha Murphy who made a mistake and left Holly and the only man she ever loved. When she left three (3) years at, she thought it was because someone told her that Maguire was seeing someone else. Maguire was still trying to assimilate back into the civilian world, but being blindsided by seeing Samantha again, he wasn’t sure how to react. As they both figured out that they had been setup, he decided not to dismiss her as his new real estate agent and allow her to help him buy a home. Can Maguire trust Samantha again not to stomp on his heart again?

A wonderful second chance-at-love story with a generous dose of dangerous suspense! Three years ago hadn’t been the right time for them. Now certainly was. It’s Me Again, Baby is a wonderful second chance-at-love story by the mega-talented Katie Reus! Katie is one of my favorite authors and this book is the perfect blend of steamy romance and dangerous suspense. While it’s the third installment in Katie’s O’Connor Family series and characters from the previous books do make appearances, It’s Me Again, Baby can be easily enjoyed as a standalone if that is your preference. This is the story of Samantha and Maguire O’Connor. Their tale is told from their dual points-of-view. Samantha walked away from Maguire years ago due to a huge misunderstanding. Neither has forgotten the other. Now, years later, Samantha has moved back to Holly, North Carolina – where it’s Christmas all year long - to be close to her mother. As the story opens, Maguire is looking to buy a new home and is surprised to discover that the woman he’s not been able to forget is his realtor. Both Samantha and Maguire are likable, genuine characters with hot chemistry from the get-go. They have a history – so, technically, it’s not insta-love. Katie writes awesome alpha heroes and Maguire fits the alpha hero persona to the tee. He certainly flaunts it in this tale as Samantha has a threatening, unstable stalker and Maguire’s protective instincts are hastened to the forefront forthwith. Maguire is used to making decisions, issuing orders and having them followed without question. But, Samantha is an adult and has been living independently for years. She understands where he is coming from but she is no pushover. I especially like how the couple amicably works through the issue in an adult manner. Following please find a few of my favorite quotes from It’s Me Again, Baby: She was always the woman he didn’t want to lose… --- “Maguire?” His name on her lips brought up too many naked memories. --- Taking her completely by surprise, he leaned down and strapped her in, his face only inches from hers as he took his time. He smelled fresh, crisp and oh so masculine. All she wanted to do was bury her face against his neck and breathe him in. Okay, she wanted to do more than that, but he smelled… I listened to It’s Me Again, Baby. Sophie Eastlake does a great job bringing the story to life. Her voices of each gender are clear and sound realistic. She consistently differentiates between the characters and exudes the appropriate emotions. I love audios and, given a choice between reading the book and listening to Sophie perform it, I’ll choose Sophie’s narration every time. I love this series featuring the HEA stories of the O’Connor siblings! If you enjoy well-plotted, exciting, heartwarming, sweet and sexy romances with a generous side of dangerous suspense, I’d highly encourage you to check out Katie Reus’ O’Connor Family series. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Words to live by and Ms. Reus blends the heart of contemporary and the intrigue of suspense to create a seductive puzzler. Not to mention provide a little second chance love and a hint of matchmaking along the way. So many parts of the romantic genre have come together in a firecracker read.

Maguire O'Connor owns auto shops already. He is looking for some property that has a big enough shop to start up his restoration side of his own company. He sets out to meet a real estate agent to look at a property. Imagine his surprise when it turns out to be his long lost love, Samantha "Sam" Murphy. Sam had left Holly when Maguire left for overseas. Broken hearted she had to pick herself up again. When her father passes away she came back to Holly. Bring in two meddling mothers to toss the two together. When they both found out that their past mistakes were due to a misunderstanding, Maguire was going after his second chance. When an unknown rival enters the scene Maguire will do whatever it takes to secure Sam to his side.

It’s Me Again Baby is the third book (novella) in the O’Connor family series by Katie Reus. This contemporary romance is a second chance at love story. It takes place in the town of Holly – where it is Christmas 365 days a year. Since leaving the marines Maguire O’Connor returned to Holly (his hometown) and started an auto shop and restoration business. He is doing so well he is looking to expand. Samantha Murphy has just moved back to Holly (after the unexpected death of her father). Macguire and Sam meet again in though the mechanisms of Macguire’s mother. She’s a real estate agent and he’s looking for property. Old hurts are aired and misunderstandings are discovered as the two attempt to resume their “relationship” where they left off. Sam’s past follows her to Holly and Macguire will do anything to keep her safe. This novella was a very quick read for me. The plot was pretty well fleshed out and the characters were likeable and believable. The slight suspense twist to the story added some depth to it. Although this is the third book in the series, and you do see appearances by prior characters, I think it could be read as a stand-alone quite easily. Ms. Reus’ books are generally an automatic purchase for me. Her plots are well written, the characters are well developed and their interactions are believable.

Sometimes feelings change over time but not for Maguire and Sam. They met and had an instant connection and thought they it was the beginning of a great relationship. But due to a misunderstanding and lack of communication, things go bad. When they both move back to Holly, and end up working together, they also decide to give their relationship another try. However, it is not totally smooth sailing, but the suspense and obstacles bring them closer. I received an advanced reader's copy for an honest unpaid review.

This book is about second chances. After a misunderstanding stalled a blooming relationship 3 years ago. Samantha and Maguire make a go of it again, but a man from her past could derail it all. I think Maguire is my favorite of the O'Connor siblings. He wastes no time at all letting Samantha know that her leaving him was based on a lie and that he wants her again. He's uber alpha and extra protective when he finds out about her past. Loved Him! This is a fast past read and doesn't let up. Another winner from Katie Reus. ARC received from author in exchange for an honest review.

** 3.5 stars** Katie Reus is the queen of the second chances trope. She’s got that down to a science and this book only reinforced that thought for me. Samantha and Maguire parted ways a while ago because of a misunderstanding but neither got over the other one. Now that they finally got a chance to talk things over they’re giving their relationship another chance. The narrative of the story was fast-paced and so was the romance however it was still well told. Throw in the dynamics of one of my favorite fictional towns (not to mention some super hot sex scenes) and you have a nice, fun read. I didn’t like the ending much as I thought it was too rushed and expected but other than that it was an enjoyable read. *** I received this book from the author at no cost to me and I volunteered to read it; this is my honest opinion and given without any influence by the author or publisher.***

Maguire O'Connor and Samantha Murphy were in love until she let the lies of a jealous woman make her reject him. She broke his heart. He came back to Holly after his military service and now Sam is back home after the death of her father. Do they get a second chance at love? Maguire never forgot Sam. He knows that she's the one. I liked this Alpha male. He'll do everything in his power to take care of Sam. As for Sam she realizes her mistake and is sorry for hurting Maguire. I liked that she admits her mistake and that she's willing to try again. They are good together. I liked their spicy dialogue. Katie Reus mixes a passion romance with a touch of suspense. She kept me reading It's Me Again, Baby. It's good to be back in Holly, North Carolina and the O'Connors Family. This series is filled with love and family. I'm enjoying this series. I received a copy of this book which I voluntarily read. My comments are my honest opinion.

She lost him once… Years ago Samantha made a mistake and lost a chance at something real with Maguire O’Connor. Now that she’s living in Holly again, she knows seeing him is inevitable. But the last thing she ever expected was to take him on as a client. Now they have a second chance… Maguire never got over Sam. Thanks to a meddling family member, he mistakenly hires Sam as his real estate agent. With her in his sights again, he’s not letting her go. But someone from her past followed her back to Holly with a sinister intent. Now Maguire will do whatever it takes to protect the woman he intends to claim as his forever. Review: This is the third book in the O'Connor Family series. This time around it is Maguire's turn at love. Maguire gets a second chance at lost love when his mother manipulates things and gets him working with a new realtor, Sam, who happens to be the girl who dumped him three years ago. They both figured out that Sam was fooled into believing in something bad about Maguire that lead to the break up. The chemistry is still there, so when they figure things out they pick up right where they left off. But someone is trying to get between them and their HEA. I feel like I say this every time, but it really is true. Ms. Reus wrote another excellent story. The characters are relate-able, smart and likable. The story has the right amount of different elements to keep me interested and wanting to read more- drama, sexiness, excitement. Even though it is book 3 you can read them out of order and will not be confused, each can stand alone. This like each of the other books is a quick read that will leave you satisfied. Fun, sexy romance! 4.5Stars *I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book provided by the Author.*

3.5 stars--IT’S ME AGAIN, BABY is the third installment in Katie Reus’ contemporary, adult O’CONNOR FAMILY erotic, romance, novella series focusing on the O’Connor family of Holly, North Carolina. This is twenty nine year old mechanic/classic car restorer Maguire O’Connor, and twenty four year old realtor Samantha Murphy’s story line. IT’S ME AGAIN, BABY can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. Told from dual third person perspectives (Maguire and Samantha) IT’S ME AGAIN, BABY is the second chance romance between Maguire O’Connor and Samantha Murphy. Three years earlier, following a wild week of romance and sex, Samantha walked out of Maguire’s life without any explanation or reasons why. Fast forward to present day, Samantha has returned to Holly, North Carolina following the sudden death of her beloved father. A realtor by trade, Samantha will be shocked when her latest client is the man who destroyed her heart years before. Enter Maguire O’Connor, the man she would never forget, and the man with whom she was still in love. What ensues is the rekindling relationship between Maguire and Samantha, and Maguire’s need to protect the woman he loves from someone from her past. Three years earlier, a case of mistaken belief, sent Samantha Murphy out of town to seek a new life without the reminders of Maguire O’Connor, and everything he meant. After serving in the US Marine Corp in Afghanistan, Maguire returned home to start up his own business, a business that was expanding and more successful as time went by. Meeting Samantha Murphy found our hero remembering the past, and the confusion as to why she walked away without looking back. The $ex scenes are intimate and intense. It doesn’t take long before Samantha and Maguire forgive one another for mistakes of the past. The world building focuses on the second chance romance; a rekindling of a relationship between two people, forged by their meddling family and friends, in an attempt towards another happily ever after in Holly, North Carolina. The relationship and conflicts are quick to resolve but such is the nature of the novella format-my only complaint is a lack of character development throughout the story. IT’S ME AGAIN, BABY is a sweet story of family and friendship; misunderstanding and forgiveness; danger and threats from the past; passion and love. The premise is entertaining and sexy; the characters are heartwarming and energetic; the romance is provocative and seductive. Katie Reus’ O’CONNOR FAMILY series is an enjoyable look at family and love.

It's Me Again, Baby by Katie Reus I love this series with it being based in a year round Christmas town. This is the 3rd story of the series. Sometimes a novella can feel rushed, but Katie has a knack of doing them well! This is the story of Maquire and Samantha. She had broken his heart years ago, and this is their path back together. He needs a house and is shocked when “Sam” shows up to be his realtor. It doesn't take them long to realize they still have heat and attraction. I enjoy the second chance stories and getting beyond the problems.

This is a great book; this is the third book in the O’Connor Family series written by Katie Reus. Years ago Samantha made a mistake and lost a chance at something real with Maguire O’Connor. Now that she’s living in Holly again, she knows seeing him is inevitable. But the last thing she ever expected was to take him on as a client. Maguire never got over Sam. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy of this book. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

I adore second-chance stories. This is a good example. Thank you Katie for the ARC for this review! The chemistry between these two is HOT! They can't keep their hands off each other...yum. I love these continuing stories about Holly North Carolina where it's always Christmas. This short-story about Maguire O'Connor and Sam, home town girl is a good addition to the sub-genre. It's a quick read, but then these two were insta-hot 3 years ago. After realizing their break up was over a lie a vindictive girl told Sam, all is forgiven because the chemistry is still there. They have both grown up, experienced life and it's time to get real with their relationship. As Sam has a stalker who's followed her home from Oregon, it's a good thing Maguire is a former SEAL who can protect her and help the police catch him.

3.5 Stars!! Maguire and Sam let a simple misunderstanding get in the way last time. However, they are both surprised to see each other when Maguire is looking for a house and Sam is the real estate agent. This is a case of mom knows all, mom knows best and she's doing what she does best, meddling; but in a good way and with the best intentions. This was a good second chance romance story. I didn't enjoy it as much as I did the previous because I thought the characters were missing something. However, the book but it was still a good read.

I tend to rate novellas lower than a full length book unless it’s a truly great read. This one definitely falls into that category. It has an actual plot, secondary characters that fit with the storyline, an awesome hero and heroine and plenty of romance and steamy goodness. And for all those readers who hesitate to read a second chance at love story due to celibacy issues, have no fear here. It is all good. I loved Maguire and Samantha. Their separation was a little aggravating but it is dealt with quickly and they move on toward getting to know each other again. As all of Katie Reus’ heroes, Maguire is a total obsessive, possessive alpha and Sam likes him for it. She does stand up to him though when the situation warrants it and they work through any issues they have in an adult manner. This is a fast paced, quick read told in dual points of view and I absolutely must check out any other books in this series. ARC received for an honest review

A second-chance love story to fill the senses! The third installment in the O'Connor Family series is a romantic, second-chance love story that fills all the senses. The love and loyalty of the O'Connor family, the small town friendliness of the people of Holly, NC, and the hot chemistry of Maguire O'Connor and Samantha. Sam has had a thing for Maguire for some time and a few years ago had the chance to begin a relationship with him. As they started to become closer, Sam made the mistake of believing someone who intentionally misled her in order to distance the two of them. Now, after returning home to Holly, Sam finds she has a new client looking for a house to purchase, and that new house-hunting client is none other than Maguire. Stunned, surprised, and still hurting from what she believes is a betrayal, Sam's immediate reaction is to run. Maguire, equally stunned, but exceptionally pleased to see Sam, is determined to not let her get away again. I love this town and its people. Grab a copy and curl up for a sweet adventure. Recommended! *ARC received in exchange for an honest review.

A really wonderful addition to the O'Connor family series, that is a terrific read. The characters are strong and have great connections. Maguire and Sam are older now and have good careers, plus the chemistry is still there. This is an exciting story line with a hint of suspense and plenty of sexual attraction. This is not one you want to miss! I voluntarily read and reviewed this book; all opinions expressed are my own.

Sweet 2nd Chance Romance It’s Me Again, Baby is the third novella in the O’Connor family series. What this is about is 2nd chance at love. I love stories about that and Ms. Reus knocked this story out of the park. I because so invested, wanting to know more about these characters, main and secondary. You will become drawn in to all in the story and its fantastic. This is Maguire and Sam’s story. They were involved 3 years ago for a blissful week and due to a misunderstanding, broke up. Suddenly now, 3 years later—they cross paths again. Maguire realizes how much he loves and needs Sam and is going to fight really hard to keep her with him so they aren’t separated again. This novella doesn’t really show enough about the misunderstanding or the past but focuses on the present and wow, this couple doesn’t take long to get together and make up for all that loss time. I really enjoyed this story and the author does give hints at who the next couple will be. I look forward to next O’Connor Family story. My Rating: 4.5 stars ***** "I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***

I'm in love with this series. I adore over protective, possessive Alpha's who are not jerks and this author never fails me. Each book in the series are on the shorter side, but I never feel like it's not enough. Each book is set in the small town of Holly and since we see all the same characters, it's like an ongoing story and yet you can easily read each book as a standalone. This one is a second chance romance. Not my favorite trope because I don't like it when couples walk away from each other, but turns out the split for these two was a huge misunderstanding. The author doesn't take long revealing said misunderstanding and has these two making up for lost time. There were hints to the next couple in the book and I can't wait! ARC provided by Netgalley.

That was one HOT hell of a book. Maguire never expected to see Samantha again, especially since she was the one who broke up with him, but that’s what happens when you are looking for a house and let your meddling mother hire an agent for you. Enter Sam. Sam has no idea that Maguire is the client she’s meeting so when she finds him waiting for her, she not sure whether to run away or stay and face Maguire as she once should have done. The truth, however, is far from what Sam believed it to have been. With the misunderstanding, out of the way, they both realize that they are free but more importantly still willing to give a second chance in what they had. And just when they think things are getting better, Sam’s past catches up with her… I can’t believe this is the third book in the series! The O'Connors definitely know how HEAs are made! I loved Maguire and I have a feeling he’s going to be my fav O’Connor brother at the end of the series but we still have a bit to go before that. Sam and Maguire’s story was a great addition to the series and I can’t wait to see who’s next. *ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review*

4 - "You were worth the wait." Stars! Katie Reus has nailed it with this series of short and sexy reads based around the O’Connor siblings. It’s Me Again, Baby, gives the reader Maguire’s story, and who doesn’t love a second chance reconnection. This was a quick and easy romance, with a side of suspense thrown in for good measure. Samantha has returned to Holly, North Carolina after years away to be closer to her mother. Three years ago hadn’t been the right time for them. Now certainly was. Little does she know that the week she spend in Maguire’s arms all those years ago, meant as much to him as it did to her, crossed wires stopped the developing relationship in its tracks back then, but upon meeting the Realtor again when looking at properties, Maguire realizes the depth of his feelings, and is not letting her walk away so easily this time. She was always the woman he didn’t want to lose… As I said there was a little suspense in this tale, it fleshed out the story between them and kept me on my toes, but I don’t 100% think it was really necessary, but it gave Maguire the chance to flex his Alpha-Instincts so it wasn’t totally wasted. No one was getting past him. As always Katie offers up a really likeable couple, great secondary characters, and an easy to read story-line. Here’s hoping we get to return to Holly again in the future, I have really come to enjoy my time with in this town and getting to know it’s residents.

Second Chances can sometimes be sweeter than the first time around. Samantha had thought for a few years that Maguire simply had more than one woman. Well when he shows up to look at house he gets a shock to see the woman he has waited for is none other than his realtor. Does the fire still burn between these two? Well grab your copy and find out. The town of Holly is one heck of a sweet place to live. Another fantastic romance in this series.
