Exciting plot and ending. Couldn't put it down. Have loved Mary's writing from Redbook stories to this recent novel. Thanks, Mary, for all the wonderful reads.

Mary Higgins Clark has done it again. She is a masterful author of mystery and suspense. I was hooked from the very beginning and couldn't wait to see how the story unfolded. There were many twists in the plot that had me guessing who really was the responsible party. The book not only described what was going on with the families involved and how they were coping, but from the side of the law. Something can seem so straightforward, and yet be so far from the truth. I've read and loved all her books and this one was no exception. I can't wait until the next one.

I have read every single book by Mary Higgins Clark and if I'm being honest, her more recent novels have not been nearly as good as her earlier novels. They used to keep me guessing until the end, now they seem very predictable. This latest book is no exception, and it's also rather dated. For example, teenagers today would never say the words "look what the cat dragged in" or "I felt like decking him". Bottom line, it's ok but not great, and not nearly as well written as her earlier novels. Just my opinion.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book; liked seeing the different character's feelings as the story progressed. Just the right length for a short read.

I was having a hard time getting interested in this book because her writing is just not what I remember from earlier books. Then I ran across several sections in which the point of view suddenly changed from third person to first person for no apparent reason. I just couldn't continue.

Great reading as always!! I could hardly put the book down, especially towards the ending!!

I really enjoyed it. I thought all questions were redolved. Whoever wrote the review opinion that the mention of Big Guy wasn't resolved must have skipped some of the book.
