About the Author

Debra Webb Rogers, a former ballet dancer and longtime Southside resident, culled this unique collection of photographs from many sources, including the Jacksonville Historical Society, the Jacksonville Public Library, the State of Florida Photographic Archives, the Landon Alumni Association, local churches and businesses, and the private collections of many individuals. Rogers is the author of Images of America: San Marco, two nonfiction dance books, one novel, and a genealogy book on the descendants of Israel Boone.
