As usual Carrie Ann Ryan writes from the heart with this new installment in the Ink series. The pain, despair, love and hope written in every page tug at your heart. I cried, I laughed and in the end loved Roxie and Carter for who they were and who they became together. It was beautiful!

It's no secret that I'm a fan of Carrie Ann Ryan's work and it's no surprise when it comes to books like this one why I am all grabby hands when she has a release. In Jagged Ink we find out what is behind the unhappiness that has been plaguing Roxie and Carter in the previous two books. If you have read Fallen Ink and/or Restless Ink you know something has been going on, you may even have your own guesses, e.g.; did he cheat on her, is there abuse going on, etc., but unless you have been through it yourself or maybe if you payed really close attention to the subtle hints given will you actually know the cause behind their sadness. For me going into this book, I had a strong feeling on what the problem would be and knew it would be a difficult one to deal with but I knew it would be done with grace so I was all in. Carrie Ann Ryan takes a difficult topic and gives us a story that is filled with hope, love, and forgiveness. Five Stars easily given to Roxie and Carter's journey to finding what they had lost and getting their second chance at forever. Each of the stories in the Montgomery Ink: Colorado Springs Series can be read as a standalone but I would suggest you read them in order but if you're not able to do so please be sure to read Restless Ink first because there is a big part of this story that takes place in that book. Happy Reading!!!

Received an advance copy from the author. I absolutely loved Carter and Roxie, their story was heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time. The story line was very well written, an emotional roller coaster.

A heartbreaking truly emotional roller-coaster that left me both wrecked (in the best way) and extremely hopeful that The rocky and seriously unstable parts of this life really do make us all the more stronger for surviving them... Loved this crazy sexy and heart tugging journey. Looking forward to more Montgomery adventures.

Jagged Ink is the third book in the Colorado Springs series. Since the moment we found out about the tension between Carter and Roxie I have been waiting for their story. I thought that the events of book 2 would be a turning point for their relationship and the timeline of these two books would overlap, but that wasn't the case. This book begins around the time book 2 ended. As much as I love the author I have to be honest. Jagged Ink was very frustrating. I kept wishing that Carter and Roxie would sit down like two adults and talk, but they were always circling around the topic. It's clear that they are still in love with each other and they don't want their marriage to end, but after what happened they can't voice the words. I just wanted to lock them in a room until they had a serious conversation. I am not a fan of miscommunication and it went on for quite some time in this book. I guessed early on what happened and drove them apart since it's hinted in some ways. I wanted them to voice it though and that didn't happen until late. I loved the part where they decided to work things out though. It was well written. The story has a little angst, frustration, sadness, hope, and happiness. It's basically one rollercoaster of emotions. It wasn't a bad book, but I was expecting more from the author.

Jagged Ink was breaking my heart from chapter after chapter. To understand the torment and shadows that haunt Carter and Roxie. I really thought this was it. A Montgomery was not going to have their HEA. Carrie Ann Ryan sends a powerful message about marriage. Patience and love should trump all. But what about the in between? Should Carter and Roxie give up? I still have the chills creeping up my skin. My heart cried out for these two. I am still left with these two on my mind. I love the Montgomery's forever. But with Jagged Ink, you see that they will not judge or take sides. They will wait out the storm. A truly beautiful story about ever lasting love. If you are married, it will make you hold on tight to your significant other.

This is a well written emotional read. Do not go into this thinking it is a typical romance because it is far from it. This book provides an intense overload of feels that do their best to overwhelm you and pull you deep beneath the surface. Roxy and Carter's story is not easy to read. I'll be honest I found myself feeling extremely frustrated with these two characters. The levels of miscommunication were to many to count. You could really feel the love between them but everything else just complicated & clouded it all. If you enjoy a read that is 100% angst, heartache and emotional turmoil, than this book is for you.

This is a of a non-standard HEA. The couple is already married but going through what could be a "rough" patch or the end of the marriage. The author does a great job on a rather difficult story line - can Roxie and Carter have their HEA together? If yes, how? Very good read!

This is book 3 in the Montgomery Ink: Colorado Springs series and I recommend that you read the first 2 before reading this one. Otherwise you may not understand things that are talked about in this book that happened in the previous books. We finally get Roxie and Carter's story and let me tell you, bring the tissues because you will need them when you understand exactly what happened between them! Roxie and Carter have drifter further and further apart and neither know what to do, until it's almost too late. This book brings out all the feelings and it may be hard for some to read. The reason behind them drifting apart is hard, and the lack of communication between them was even harder to read. And about 3/4's of the way through, I honestly didn't think they were going to get their HEA. The line in the book that sometimes love isn't enough, I don't think that has ever been more accurately portrayed than in this book. The fact that they both figured out just how much they truly not only loved each other, but needed each other was beautifully written. They learned that while yes, the love was always there (even when they didn't necessarily feel it from the other), that communication and support from not only each other but family is key to any relationship. When they finally took the time to SPEAK about what happened and how much it hurt them, they could finally move on and find themselves and their marriage again. I loved it! This book is incredibly difficult on the emotions but it just shows how hard real marriages are. How much you have to work at them, and really, truly communicate with your partner through thick and thin. Or you just might lose the one person you love above all else. Absolutely beautiful story about what real marriage is like!

Get out the tissues. Jagged Ink had me weepy the entire story. I could just feel the love and pain from Roxie and Carter throughout the entire story. These two have been on the periphery and low key in the other Montgomery stories. I didn’t think anything about them or the struggle they might be hiding – pretty much like their family probably saw them. Once I started reading Roxie and Carter’s heartbreaks, I couldn’t stop. I wanted to keep pushing them back together, making them feel better. When you’re that invested in fictional characters, you know that you have a book that is tucked close to your heart.

Carter and Roxie's story was different than your typical boy meets girl romance. Molly and Carter are already married and thru previous books there has been that underlying tension that there was a conflict buried under the surface. They kept their friends and family in the dark and trying to pretend all was well. I was so curious to know what they were hiding from everyone else. I won't spoil it for anyone but this was a great read. Molly and Carter have to decide if their marriage is worth fighting for or just throw in the towel and walk away. Everyone grows and changes but can a marriage survive it? Can their marriage survive? You can read this as a standalone but I really recommend reading the whole series. Carrie Ann Ryan has built an amazing family in every page she writes. I love the Montgomery's and their circle of friends.

I don't believe I have ever felt such emotion from reading a book as I did this one. I cried, A LOT, I laughed, I wanted to jump in those pages and help these 2 figure it out. What happens when you both love each other so much but things happen and you both stop talking, whew...what a heart wringer

OMG!! Even if this rips your heart out at times, I just loved it! It's such a fabulous look at a relationship and how two people can drift apart with out even realizing it and the journey they take to find themselves, and each other again. Love isn't easy, and Carter and Roxie are definitely not easy! They love each other so much, but they can't find the words to convey that. They have to go through hell and back to finally realize they only want each other. I don't want to over simply the story, at times it had me in tears, but them it makes your heart so full of love....I couldn't put it down!!! Fabulous job Carrie!!!!

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader’s Copy of this book We have come to the end of the Colorado Springs branch of the Montgomery tree with Roxie and Carter’s story. If you are new to Carrie Ann Ryan”s Montgomery clan don’t fret you won’t be lost as each book in the series is a stand alone story, reading the other stories isn’t mandatory it’s just plain FUN!!! Roxie and Carter’s story is a little different because they are already married, but that marriage is coming to a end and it isn’t because of a lack of love. Ryan shows us what a lack of communication does to a marriage with this one and boy does she just rip those heartstrings apart with it. As I said a lack of love is not what drives these two, Roxie and Carter have soo much love for each other that it is a beautiful thing and seeing that fall apart is just awful, however there is a happy ending in sight. Falling apart, divorce papers, and a blind date is the push that is needed (Wow that is one heck of a push) to get Carter to see that what they need is communication and to fight for them. Only Ryan can rip you apart and put you back together with a nice little bow and introduce the next Montgomery Branch in one awesome story. She also showed me that no matter what talk to your partner, no matter what it is or how you think you’re being strong for them by not talking, because in the end it will just end up hurting you both more.

Jagged Ink is Book 3 of Carrie Ann Ryan's Montgomery Ink: Colorado Springs series. This story stands perfectly fine on its own but since we have felt the tension between Roxie and Carter in the earlier stories, I couldn't wait to read this one. This one is a bit different than the usual romances I read as they are already married. Carter and Roxie met, fell in love and married very quickly until everything started to fall apart on them. I adored both of these characters but their main issue was that they kept everything bottled up and didn't share their feelings with each other. I can't even begin to count how many times I wanted to yell at them to SHARE and stop ASSUMING!!! Overall this was an excellent addition to the series.

Another wonderful Montgomery Ink story. This one started with some issues with Carter and Roxie. They admitted they loved each other, but something had happened that caused their communication to break down. It got to the point where they didn't talk at all. Both were miserably unhappy. The story told both of their points of view. It was very sweet everything Carter did to try and make their relationship work again. Also it reminded all of us that communication needs to happen to keep a relationship going. Carrie told a good story with an HEA.

I absolutely loved this book! It drew me in from beginning to end. At times it could be a little hard to read as both Roxie and Carter were struggling. They both still loved the other but no longer knew how to communicate or read the other person. They truly had to work to find their happily ever after. I really enjoyed the story, even with it being hard to read at times. Sometimes all I wanted was to tell them, just say it out loud to Roxie/Carter. But like in the beginning of the book, it's not actually that easy when it comes down to it. It's hard to get those words out in a situation like they were in. Hard to get past what was going on inside yourself and your doubts to actually spit those words out. I loved the way that the story developed and the way that we got to see Roxie and Carter grow throughout the story. I really enjoyed it!! It pulled me in from beginning to end and I never got bored. Once I started reading, I had to keep going because I really felt for the two of them and wanted to see their happy ending. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

This is an emotionally charged story that captivated my attention and kept me turning the pages. The story is a refreshing change in that it’s about an established couple that hits a real rough patch and needs to find their way back to each other. I was on an emotional rollercoaster while reading this story.

Make sure you have some tissues, because this book had me with the ugly crying through the first third of it. Then some more tears until I hit the mid-way point. From there on in, hope sparked; smiles happened; sexiness came out to play; love grew, it grew again, it grew new, it grew stronger, better, more honestly and pure than it had been able to grow before. A happy ever after is never guaranteed, but once knocked down, if you decide to get up, you can fight for it. Even if the person you’re fighting the most is yourself, as Roxie and Carter find out Second chances are never certain, but sometimes when things seem the darkest, you find the light. Roxie and Carter were in the dark so long, they forgot about light. Being with them as they found their way, it was truly beautiful!

This was chock full of emotions, straight from the get go. Be prepared to be emotionally wrecked before you start feeling happier feels. Roxie & Carter get put through the wringer before their world spins right

This is a great second chance romance story. It is romantic and gut wrenching in the same book. Roxie Montgomery and Carter Marshall start off this newest book married. There is a sense right away that their marriage is in trouble. Carter is burned in a fire saving Roxie's sister. The tension between Carter in Roxie is palpable. When Carter gets home from the hospital, he notices divorce papers sitting out. What has Roxie done? Carter becomes even more cut off from Roxie. He loves her but is love enough? Roxie feels the same way. Is love enough to keep them together. They both have stopped talking to each other by this point. They are living together but living separate lives. Carter decides to move out and give Roxie what she wants. Carter doesn't realize that Roxie doesn't know if she wants that. After a date with another woman, Carter decides he can not live without Roxie. He will do whatever he needs to do to make this second chance work. Roxie and Carter both grow so much in this story. The heartbreak they experience to lead to their silent relationship moved me to tears. This was a great story that I will take with me for a long time.
