About the Author

I walked into an English Lit. class at Southeastern Oklahoma State University when I was fifty-two years old and discovered I could write. I started out writing poetry, rhyming a war that had no cause, every prose was filled with death, destruction, and man's inhumanities. I was invited to the University of Texas to read a few of them. When I was sixty-four years old I published a novel A Field of Wildflowers. I would send the chapters to my editor, B. Montgomery, and we would discuss them. One night I told her a story about a Bear and a Princess. After I was through telling her the story she asked me if I was the Knight or the Bear. I am happy to say I am the Bear. Look for A Field of Wildflowers, along with The Bear and the Princess, Bear the Bully, Thanksgiving in the Forest, and Christmas in the Forest at Amazon.com.
