This book is intended for students who have two to three years of musical training under their belt, and are just beginning to become interested in the world of jazz. There are many questions that arise when students of this art form first see letters and numbers written above notation. This book is designed to illuminate the student in this, and also to guide them in a basic understanding of the way that musical harmony functions, particularly in jazz.
