Joe Palooka initially was a comic strip created by Ham Fisher. The strip first debuted on April 12, 1930.
Joe Palooka was a boxer, but more importantly he was a good person who always tried to do the right thing and treat others with respect. Joe Palooka ultimately was syndicated in more than 900
newspapers and daily readership was estimated at 50 million.
