Overview

It is several months after he graduates from dental school in 1959 when Johnny Savage reads Robert Rourke’s book, Poor No More, while on Navy ship USS Glacier headed for Antarctica. Inspired to learn more about the secret to success, he embarks on a decades-long journey of self-discovery to find wealth, love, and happiness where his path eventually becomes intertwined with that of a black houseboy, Otis Ikner.
