Kiki Deere first visited the Philippines in 2003 and has returned time and time again to explore more of this incredibly diverse archipelago. She has traveled extensively throughout the country -- among her favorite spots are the mystical Cordilleras with their ancient rice terraces that weave around the mountainside, and the awe-inspiring limestone formations that rise dramatically from the crystal-clear waters of Palawan. She has written dozens of guidebooks for Rough Guides, including the Rough Guide to the Philippines and the Rough Guide to Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei, and regularly writes for magazines and nationals on a number of destinations worldwide.
