About the Author
SHAWN BURCHAM is the founder and CEO of Pro Food Systems, Inc. (PFSbrands), which he and his wife Julie started out of their home in 1998. PFSbrands has grown to over 140 employee-owners and is now 100 percent employee-owned. The company has over 1,500 branded food-service locations across forty states. They are best known for their Champs Chicken franchise brand, which was started in 1999. PFSbrands now offers BluTaco as a franchise brand and Cooper’s Express as a license program. They also create private-label food programs for many of their customers. Most recently, PFSbrands has launched GRITT Business Coaching to help other businesses become more successful. Shawn is a true entrepreneur that has taken the necessary risks to lead his company through double-digit growth for over twenty years.
