Great read...loved it!

drama, action, tension, suspense
Brody (Navy SEAL) and Devyn (his high school sweetheart) are under fire when he finally returns home after being away on a training mission that does not end so well. There reunion will be test in some big ways. Butler put it all on the line when she puts it all on paper. She gives the drama, action, tension, suspense and it all comes together in a package filled with more than you could ask for.

There was a statement in the book that the female characters made about a situation being like a bad action movie... And that's what I felt reading the book. Lots of typos and put grammar... Could have been good but overall annoying

This was a very disappointing read. The story line was too far fetched to make it believable. Very bad editing and the language was vulgar.

Navy SEAL Brody Battles and his wife Devyn married young and had twin daughters. When the girls were 2 weeks old, Brody shipped out for a 2 year "no contact" mission. Now he's back and he must learn to be a husband again and a father to a couple 2 year old twins. If things weren't hard enough, both Brody and Devyn are kidnapped by the family of the vicious crime lord SEAL team thirteen was after for two years.
This was an amazing story! It ran like a movie through my mind, full of action, betrayal, camaraderie, and the re-discovery of love. I love a good military romance and this book is sure to be the first of many about these funny, sexy Navy SEALS of team thirteen. I definitely look forward to reading more from this very talented author.

3.5 Stars
This was pretty good. Yeah it was a bit farfetched what with whole two year mission and all, but the author does put a note that she added that long stretch for the sake of the story. It did lend a sort of vulnerability to both characters.
Brody, obviously dealing with some sort of PTSD and also dealing with adjusting to basically a 'new' life with two children that he doesn't even know, but still loves very much. As well as trying to keep his sanity while withholding so much pertinent information from the wife he still adores with all his heart.
Devyn, your typical military wife, except she's super young, so super naive, but so loyal to Brody. She's a great mother to their children but at the same time finds it is difficult to deal with everything by herself. So while she understands her husband is out there basically saving the world, she wants him at him helping her with nap and storytime...and there lies your double edged sword with all military marriages..
There were some grammatical errors but nothing so dramatic as to take away from the enjoyment of the story. Overall it was an interesting storyline, though a bit predictable, on the Jane/Marie front, but other than that not a bad read at all.
