Shona Blass was born in Glasgow and grew up in London. She wrote stories before she could read, and has been writing them ever since. She studied in Manchester and London. She lives in the New Forest with her husband. Kingfisher is the first book in the Kingfisher Series. It is followed by Eagle Heart and Phoenix.
