His plan was heartless, ruthless, and simple. Until he met her....

Irish warrior Tadhg is outlawed and on the run.

He has a single mission: escape with the legendary dagger of King Richard before a brutal nobleman hunts him down.

Trapped and almost cornered, his plan is simple: plant his contraband on the innocent merchant widow with long hair and complicated eyes. Then abduct her and use her as camouflage to escape.

Igniting a raging passion is not part of the plan...

...neither is falling in love.
Magdalena knows she should be terrified by the dark-eyed stranger who charms her with his wit and cuts down soldiers with careless grace, but all she feels is excitement as he drags her deeper into his perilous mission--and grand adventure.
Near-misses and a raging hot passion abound as they outwit their pursuers, forging a connection that melts the icy wall around Tadhg's war-torn heart.

But when the enemy closes in, will he choose the mission of a lifetime, or the brave, passionate woman who's stolen his heart?

**You'll love this historical romance because it's got hot, sexy passion and epic adventure!**

I read "Claiming Her" by this author and wanted to read more so...... this book was good but the book had so many typos that for me it was a distraction. If you don't mind errors and left out words then it is a good read.

This story starts out in a cave in Britain in the year 1177 with a band of brothers in heart. Three were exiled nobles from Ireland and Tadhg is a cousin to one. Tadhg is weary of the criminal life and decides to go off on his own to find a better way leaving the others to feel betrayed. It tears at his soul but leave he must. Fifteen years later, 1193 in Northern France, he's on the run hiding from not only King Philippe's army and Prince John, but from Geoffrey d'Argent, a man who knows his secrets and knows about the item he's carrying that could get him killed. Tadhg finds himself stepping up to help a tailor named Magdalena who has gotten herself into a pickle and he plans on using her to find safety. As usual, the best laid plans never go the way you expect them to and they both find themselves involved in the deepest dangers and intrigue. Cue the band of brothers, some excellent sword fights, one nasty villain, some pretty intense, hot, and emotional moments between Tadhg and Magdalena, and you have this wonderful story that is King's Warrior. I love Tadhg. Who he is, what his past has made him. The way he thinks and how he lives his life. He's true to himself and true to his heart. Magdalena is strong and yearns for more and has no issue what-so-ever in doing what she must to accomplish that. I love feisty and intense heroines. Then there's Rowan, Faelan, and Mael. Oh, Mael! I want a Mael. I love my heroes dark with a need for fixin'. (Says smiling) Overall, this story is fast paced. It has everything I love in a story. Not just the romance, but sword fights (YES!) and characters I love to hate along with ones I want to feel deep meaning for and see more of and a plot that kept my mind racing as to what in the world was going to happen next. Every single time Kris Kennedy publishes a book I know that I will be picking up a story that completes a part of this medieval loving soul. Each and every time. This was originally a novella in the anthology Captured By a Celtic Warrior which has been rewritten into a full length novel. Thank you, Kris, for giving us the backstory for Tadhg and Magdalena and the outlaw brothers and for taking us on to future journeys with this crew. Did I mention above how much I love the dark, tortured Mael? (snickerin')
