When she ran away, she traveled fourteen countries across five continents, attended three universities, and married the vocalist of her favorite rock band.

Great read. Hot but a great back story

It's difficult to read such violence and heartbreak. But I was pleased that finally an author realized that seeking revenge is sometimes needed when unspeakable pain has been caused.

It it a story about brutality, abandament, and murder. It ends with discovery answers and revenge. I usually don't read these kind of books, but it was so well written i couldn't put it down

Knotted by Pam Godwin is a contemporary romance. I don't remember if there were trigger warnings when I read the blurb. If not, there should be. There is graphic violence and sex, this book is not for kids. Knotted is written in first person, which I hate. Even worse, it's first person, alternating point of view, so I double hated it right off the bat. That being said, Ms. Godwin delivered a book that is totally riveting. I couldn't put it down. Jake and Conor's story has twists and turns you don't expect. There is plenty of drama, bits of humor, steamy sex and nail-biting action. You may need a tissue or two while reading this book. Kudos to Ms. Godwin, she totally made that alternating point of view format work. I enjoyed reading Knotted and look forward to reading more from Pam Godwin in the future. Knotted is book 1 of the Trails of Sin Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

This is another book that will be added to my favorites. There's such depth to the story and the characters I fell in love with the four main characters, they were willing to do what it took to restore to the best of their abilities what was lost.?????

Running the gambit from sweet teenage romance to all grown up love with detours through the most horrendous circumstances has left me wrung out, exhausted and buzzing. First thing I did when finished was put Buckled and Booted on my wishlist! Pam Godwin does not shy away from details. Be they good or bad, or sad or hot (so hot). Feelings described in ways that take your breath away. I could feel the ranch around me. And a few other things, hehe. But there's no way I'd want to take that man away from Conor. They are meant to be. Truly.

Knotted will definitely have you tied up. Pam Godwin starts you off with a fairytale love. She shows you tender and amazing. You will live in the beauty that is their story before it all gets ripped away. I was a jagged mess reading this book. Ms. Godwin spares no expense when taking the reader on this suspenseful ride. She clearly had no concern for my emotional well being while she dragged me along. (It's completely her fault I cried like a baby.) But absolutely respect her the most for the beautifully executed healing process. I loved Jake's tenacious and unyielding need to help. I loved his love and devotion. I may not have liked all his actions but Jake is an incredible man. I think this band of friends is going to become part of my book family. Reviewed for Sweet Spot Sisterhood

Knotted by Pam Godwin My rating: 4 of 5 stars With Knotted, Pam Goldwin once again proved how talented she is (if anyone still need a proof, that is!). It was my first Cowboy story, it's a genre I don't usually read... but I love her writing style so much that I never considered NOT reading it.  You'll meet 3 determined guys, men, the twins (Jake and Jarret) and Lorne ( Conor's brother), as well as a feisty but sweet Conor. All of them grew together as family while Conor and Jake developed feelings for each other. That's how the story begins, rather sweetly, when everything is brutally and violently taken from them. Their lives are broken and everything they thought they knew shattered. In a matter of a few chapters I had chills and tears in the eyes.  Omg, the emotions in that story! Mainly I was heartbroken, but the helplessness, the loneliness  and the unfairness weren't far behind. The need for answers, and the captivating plot had me furiously turning the pages.  Sad, angsty and intriguig, Knotted is the kind of thrilling read whose characters will have you swooning, and at the same time screaming in frustration. An alpha hero, a resilient heroine, secrets and lies, it had eveything to be a straight 5 stars read, but unfortunately the whole "therapy" concept didn't work for me. I won't elaborate because I don't want to spoil the book; it's a large part of the story, and I simply think that you can't "heal" someone that way,  and therapy isn't something you can impovise. As I'm finishing  this review I still don't know if I'm going to give 3 or 4 stars, it's how conflicted I am. I loved so much Conor and Jake, the storytelling and the atmosphere... Anyhow, I can't wait to read Jarret's story in the next instalment! " I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book. Thank you!"

The first book in a trilogy, each one based on a different couple - I love me a good dark Pam Godwin read, but this involved cowboys, not one of my favorite genres, so wasn't quite sure if this would be my thing or not - seriously I needn't have worried, I was enthralled and invested in the story from the first to the last page, but be warned, this is a real dark read - its brutal, intense, shocking and violent, with triggers everywhere - it's a hell of a ride!! This revolves around four kids brought up together on a ranch by their fathers, brothers Jake and Jarret, sister and brother Conor and Lorne. Jake and Conor have been together and loved each other forever, theirs being a once in a lifetime type of love they both feel for each other, much to their fathers disapproval. On the night of Conor's sixteenth birthday they plan to lose their virginity to each other, with Jarret and Lorne on the lookout for them. Its what happens on this night that changes each one of them forever and sets them each on a different path in life. A blood oath for revenge means they will be meeting up again in the future. I loved the characters in this, Jake is all Alpha, hot, sexy, dark and brooding. What he does in the story in parts really annoyed and upset me at the time, but looking back you can see why he did what he did, in the end it was all for the love of his girl. Conor is such a strong and determined person, having lived through such an ordeal and survived and learned to live again, such grit and determination, I was really rooting for her!! This story really did rip my heart out - its very intense and emotional, I was gutted in places. It's all about love and loyalty and enduring friendships. I didn't like everything Jake did in the book, but in the end understood why he did them. It's a hell of a dark read, but well worth the effort.

This book ripped my heart out almost immediately and it took the rest of the book to get it back in again. Someday, maybe, this authour won't leave me with a huge book hangover and characters that linger with me for days afterwards, but Jake and Conor are not those people It all started so innocently, a rendez vous with the boy of your dreams, who you've been with all your life, and plan to be with all the years later. Within moments, Conor's life changes so drastically and dramatically, and continues to take turns for the worst through her teen and early adult years. She changes who she is, how she thinks, and what she does, but it never goes away. The heart of who she is and what she wants always stays the same, and that is Jake Jake feels the failure he made in not protecting Conor every day. He has never stopped protecting her, even though she never knows. When the time finally comes to bring her home and share the truth, will she even want to go along with his plan to heal her? Will it heal him? How broken does everything have to be before it can be built back up? Conor and Jake tore me up, but I couldn't have admired them more. Even as young as they were, and all they'd been through, they recognized there was nobody else for them but the other. When things finally came around for them, I was so happy for them. They had so much still ahead of them, but they were going to face it together Now, about Jarrett and Lorne......

Second chance and dark are two of my favourite genres together by one of my favourite authors. Jake and Conor’s story comes full circle because sometimes first love, true love, never dies, it’s heartbreaking but compelling. After one tragic fateful night that changed not only Jake and Conor’s lives, but their brother too. So when Conor left, not to return after years away, could the road to recovering her and Jake’s relationships be easy? When the truth of the secrets kept for years come out, will it free all the knots that are tied and that kept the pair apart? I loved every hard, soul searching words written, it was raw and honest and while it wasn’t easy at time’s, it was everything I love in a story. While I might not be the biggest Cowboy/Country fan this was one of my favourites. My god Pam Godwin smashed everything out the park.

It's Pam Godwin so you know it's dark! Emotional and heartwrenching start to a series! It takes place on a ranch in Oklahoma. I enjoyed this book so much, even through the trauma and ugly parts. Great character development that actually makes you care about what happens and want to know what and why. I'm hooked on this series and can't wait for more!

5 I died so many times stars!!! Jake and Conor grew up together and fell in love. They vowed to be each other's firsts in every way. But one night Conor is violated in the worst of ways while Jake is forced to watch. The incident sets their life on dangerous paths these people never could have imagined. Fate might have torn them apart but Jake knows Conor is his and he'll do anything to bring her back to him. I have so many feelings for this book but I cannot scream and shout and cry like I want to cause *spoilers*. This book has some of the most brutal scenes I've read and guys I've read all kinds of stuff. It's brutal because it's no hold barrels, it makes your heart hurt and it makes you feel the fiercest kind of pain. THAT IS WHAT I loved most about this book. If a book makes my heart lurch with pain, relief, grief and excitement that is the kind of book that I'll always keep in my heart. KNOTTED will forever be a special place in my dark soul because it left such a significant mark there that I can't ever undo it. Not that I want to. I admired Conor's strength. I loved Jake's resolve. I freaking adore Jarret and Lorne's loyalty. The tact with which Pam Godwin handled such a delicate issue is awe inspiring. I just cannot get over how she channeled the right emotions through Conor as a victim and Jake as a witness. I just cannot wait for more from this series because i know it's going to be other-worldly good.

***5 ‘We’re An Existence That Cannot Be Measured’ Stars*** Ok II went into this baby guessing at a couple of things that were going to happen based on the synopsis and prepared myself for it, but I found out right quick that I didn’t prepare enough because holy h#$%. This book was all kinds of craycray goodness on every level. Talk about ripping your heart out, slamming it on the ground and then taking a jackhammer to it and then slowly. Ever so slowly putting the pieces back together again. This wasn’t just an emotional rollercoaster. This was an emotional rollercoaster ride to h&*l and back. And then add in all that dark, smexy, make your lady bits quiver in anticipation thing and I was addicted. Jake and Conor. These two. I loved and adored them. I hurt for them. I got growly at them. I cheered for them. Their journey was hard and heartbreaking, but it was so satisfying in the end. Their bond was intense and the chemistry, even when at odds, was nuclear. And though I tended to be Team Conor more than Team Jake, it was more about the circumstances rather than loving one more than the other. This is my first read by Pam Godwin and I adored it! I kept asking myself while devouring Knotted why I hadn’t picked something, anything, by her before? (Answer: The TBR lists are insane) But, now that I have, I’m hooked. The writing pulled me in from the start, things started out a little slow, but that was necessary to lay out the base of the story ~ as well as the series ~ and once that was done, things took off and things really got going. The characters were all well written and I’m definitely looking forward to getting my greedy little hands on Jarret and Lorne’s books. I know this review is very vague and that I didn’t even go that much into Jake and Conor and their journey because there were too many ways I could spoil things for you and I don’t want to take away the gut punch of what they go through from you. With that said the triggers are real. This is a dark read on a lot of levels. The dark is balanced out with heartwarming and humorous moments, but the author goes balls to the wall, so saddle up and hang on tight, because the ride will be a wild one! ~ Copy provided by the author & voluntarily reviewed ~

I was consumed by this book from the very first line and devoured it pretty quickly but it lost its steam for me around the healing sessions. The heroine suffered something very traumatic but I wasn't wholly onboard or satisfied with the way they went about healing her. It felt like her power and strength were being stripped from her a session at a time. I also didn't like the way the hero got her to agree to it, it felt very controlling and domineering. Knotted is beautifully written. It has some of the most well-crafted sentences I've ever had the pleasure of reading but it didn't fully work for me.
