About the Author

New York Times and USA Today Bestselling author, Pam Godwin, lives in the Midwest with her husband, their two children, and a foulmouthed parrot. When she ran away, she traveled fourteen countries across five continents, attended three universities, and married the vocalist of her favorite rock band.
Java, tobacco, and dark romance novels are her favorite indulgences, and might be considered more unhealthy than her aversion to sleeping, eating meat, and dolls with blinking eyes.

Great read. Hot but a great back story

It's difficult to read such violence and heartbreak. But I was pleased that finally an author realized that seeking revenge is sometimes needed when unspeakable pain has been caused.

Sweet innocence and trust are shattered in a violently heartbreaking night that takes years to discover the truthes behind it and the ties that bind four friends together are tested as each has to deal with the fallout and consequences. The struggle is fierce and heartbreaking but the end will leave you humming.

Never have i ever not sure how to rate this book. A very different outlook of a rape survivor. Part of me hated it yet i could not put it down. Would recommend.

Great story, plenty to keep you interested, I wish the book would have went more in dept after they couple reconnected at the ranch. I thought the story felt rushed or more interested in trying to push the series over the story that was currently being told.

A violent brutal beginning, difficult to understand how anyone could cope after surviving a horrific attack, forced “isolation,” and further emotional and physical abuse. The author explains the “heroine’s” mental state throughout the story and the hero’s state of mind. The majority of the book was spent on their sexual encounters. I was more interested in the “why” the gruesome attack at the start... it was somewhat “glazed over” - shady deals between fathers - Trying to extract oil from the land?? I guess it’s to entice readers to continue reading the series. I’m not a fan. Story rates 4 stars because it kept my interest to know the “why,” but failed. I’m not a follower.

I give Knotted 3.5 stars . Which is a hard for me to do since I worship Pam Godwin's stories . That beginning scene was sexy between sweethearts Conor and Jake , but turned brutal and tragic in a wink.It was a definite eye opener from that point on .A twisted murder mystery fillerd dark romance and a gut wrenching quest to heal two hearts that were once full of love for each other. I liked Conor and Jake together , but there was something missing . I was also irked by Jake keeping secrets ( Yes , to keep her safe ) , but he acted like he was Dr.Phil and had a PHD in trying to heal her PTSD....When he had it too. I was a little on the fence with certain parts but i will still read the rest of the Trails of Sin Trilogy because these Cowboys are intense .

Knotted by Pam Godwin is a contemporary romance. I don't remember if there were trigger warnings when I read the blurb. If not, there should be. There is graphic violence and sex, this book is not for kids. Knotted is written in first person, which I hate. Even worse, it's first person, alternating point of view, so I double hated it right off the bat. That being said, Ms. Godwin delivered a book that is totally riveting. I couldn't put it down. Jake and Conor's story has twists and turns you don't expect. There is plenty of drama, bits of humor, steamy sex and nail-biting action. You may need a tissue or two while reading this book. Kudos to Ms. Godwin, she totally made that alternating point of view format work. I enjoyed reading Knotted and look forward to reading more from Pam Godwin in the future. Knotted is book 1 of the Trails of Sin Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
