Great new series Bearing it all out their  You have a human – Tammy and an Alpha Bear-Reid and an explosive reaction to each other.   You have mystery and betrayal and an unknown enemy trying to set Reid up to fall.  Tammy is sent to investigate missing trucks and shipments and Reid is in charge of the operations.   Will it stop them or will it hinder the chemistry?  Who’s reasonable for the missing shipments?   And Why?  Well written beginning to a new series and yet it’s a self-contained story.  Entertaining and very enjoyable to read. I was given a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Enjoyed the story.....did not need to use tbe "F" word so much. The book has only 170+ pages. And $3.99, not sure it was worth that cost......d

I have fallen in love with Eve's shifters. They are a wonderful mix of traditional lore with a nice little twist to their world to make them unique. The setting and history of Kodiak Point really stood out to me in this one. I loved how remote and some-what self-sufficient the town was. It was it's own little shifter world tucked out in the Alaskan wilderness. Eve really brought that wilderness to life and showed several times just how remote the place was. At first I missed some of Eve's clever dialog. Reid Carver just doesn't seem to say a whole lot at first, but once he opened up a little the lovely way she has of speaking for her characters came to life once again. I loved Reid and his bear - they both seemed to have quite a mind of their own, and frequently disagreed on what to do about Tammy. He is the alpha and leader of Kodiak Point and takes his job very seriously. So when Tammy shows up to investigate his insurance claims, he's determined to keep things professional and make sure she doesn't know the true nature of the town's residents. Well, he fails miseably. Not only does Tammy end up falling for him, but she's convinced something fishy is going on. While investigating the claim things get a little strange. Her time with Reid leads to some danger as whoever is targeting him decides to use her to get to him. This was a very exciting part of the story line and I stayed up late to make sure I could find out what happened. The ending was beautifully written. It really highlighted why these two were so perfect for each other. Throughout the book we meet several other residents of Kodiak Point and their stories promise to be just as much fun as this one.

OMG, a new winner. Reminded me a lot of her Freakn' series but with just one guy and girl. Can't wait for the next book. Funny, sexy with a mystery. Just what I like.

Fairly good effort for this genre. The characters are a little underdeveloped, but a good storyline.

Kodiak's Claim is a fabulous paranormal book by Eve Langlais. Ms. Langlais has delivered a well-written shifter book and filled it with amazing, lovable characters. Tammy and Reid's story is packed with drama, action, suspense and sizzle. I enjoyed reading Kodiak's Claim and look forward to reading more from Eve Langlais in the future. Kodiak's Claim is book 1 of the Kodiak Point Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

Reid is a hard headed bear shifter alpha whose business is being sabotaged by culprits unknown. He more than meets his match with Tammy, a sassy, stubborn human who is sent to investigate the insurance claims. So where to start? The story is a little cheesy, but one completely appropriate for my current mood! I couldn’t quit laughing at the comical excuses Reid was giving to Tammy whenever his bear made an unexpected appearance (i.e. buckshot in the buttocks moment)! As a couple, Tammy and Reid have lusty sparks, and the banter to match, and I can say I was never bored. The suspense was a bit thin, yet I was reading this for pure fun and didn’t even register the lack of fighting action until the end. This was an amusing start to the series and I’m looking forward to Jan (a wily Fox) and Boris’s (a moody moose) story next!

Ok, so, it’s no purple alien, but this 1st novel in Langlais’ Kodiak Point series really held my attention. I enjoyed the mix of chemistry with personal conflict, action with getting to know the characters. Langlais’ seamless writing easily melds with her vivid descriptions to take readers deep into the heart of Kodiak territory. I love Langlais’ take on shifters and the characters that she creates from them. Not only did the main characters really stand out but the entire cast held my attention. I love the fact that Tammy not only loves food, but actually eats it. Reid’s Alpha-all-the-way attitude really drew me to him. He was such a captivating individual when we really got to know him. Langlais definitely makes romance fun with this one. It’s a great story that sets the scene well for the rest of the series.
