Kudeyar

Kudeyar - is a half legendary hero, robber, whom in the novel with the same title the author make be opposed to another power of that time - to Ivan the Terrible. The noble men obey terrified to the orders of this tyrant, who makes everyone terrified just for fun; the slave like obedience makes the words of the conscience be silent. Only Kudeyar finds power in himself to be opposed to the cruel tyrant and openly goes against the oprichnina, the victim of which was his own wife.
