Lady Luck by Kristen Ashley

"I adore Kristen Ashley's books!"—Maya Banks, New York Times bestselling author

All you need is a little luck.

Lexie Berry has had nothing but bad luck. You name it, Lexie has probably survived it-or worse. But there's only so much bad luck a girl can take, and now one promise is all that stands between her and a brand-new life.

When that promise brings her to Carnal, Colorado, Lexie isn't sure the rough, yet strangely charming, town is for her. But there's something Carnal has that might just make staying around worth it . . . and that's Ty Walker.

For five years, Ty was imprisoned for a crime he didn't commit. Now he wants revenge on the people who framed him. Lexie knows there's a difference between vengeance and justice, and she'll do everything she can to make sure Ty gets the latter. And with the good people of Carnal on their side, Lexie and Ty might finally find their luck is changing for the better.

About the Author

Kristen Ashley grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana, and has lived in Denver, Colorado, and the West Country of England. Thus she has been blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her posse is loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write.

Kristen was raised in a house with a large and multigenerational family. They lived on a very small farm in a small town in the heartland, and Kristen grew up listening to the strains of Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon, and Whitesnake.

Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music and love was a good way to grow up.

And as she keeps growing up, it keeps getting better.

Loved this book! I love Ty!! Lexie is sweet and sassy a really good combo! To address an earlier review you are taking the calling of brother out of context! If you read the book you would know they were calling each other brother because thats what they are brothers not " brothers". Im a black american and i call my friend who is sooo not black sister because shes closer to me than my sister. But i digress, tjis is my fav so far of the series! Waiting with bated breathe to see if Chace is going to be all im imagining him to be! You wont go wrong reading anything Ms. Ashley writes!

During the first 2/3 of Lady Luck I loved it. It was the last 1/3 that had me skimming. Each Colorado Mountain book had a little mystery or drama that takes place and for Ty his is big drama. The corrupt police department in Carnal Colorado needs to be stopped and they have been bad for some time. This part of the book, I wanted to skim. Mainly because Lexi and Ty are so hot together and I wanted to read more about her sunshine. Kristen Ashley made me long for more sunshine and light to grace their lives. There are a few things that bothered me about Ty. Not only is is domineering, bossy, crank, but he kept telling Lexi to 'shut it'. I get why he was doing this but I just thought that was taken too far and really pissed me off. Fans of the previous books don't dispare we are graced with Tate, Laurie and a cameo of Max and Nina. I also hear Kristen Ashley is going to write a book about Faye and Chase - Yay!

436 pages - lots of suspense but too much graphic sex - just totally unnecessary.

I AM THE LITTLE ENGINE THAT COULD; CHOO, CHOO.. Because it took an unforeseen amount of steam and endurance to finish this book. Literally, convincing myself to endure this torture.. You don't even want to know how many times I was procrastinating about DNF'ing this forsaken book. And truth be told, ended up skimming the last 50 pages.. Why you ask? Oh let me pique your interest by explaining the horrid lengthy uninteresting dialogue between Ty and Lexie. The sentences were a complete blur of incoherent sentences. Although, their situation was unique and original, their connection was lukewarm.. Was not IMPRESSED :( Lady Luck seemed to drag ON, and ON, and ON... Unfortunately, I felt no connection to Ty & Lexie. I was unable to view their circumstances believable or remarkable.. Things became boring and predictable. Suffice to say, their story lacked what Sweet Dreams was capable of shedding

this book was not as good as the rest of the books in this series. It wasn't horrible but I enjoyed the other three books more. I did enjoy Lexi's sense of humor in this book.

Another enjoyable read, just wish they put the book series numbers in the purchase description for those of us come in after there are over 5 books already out in the series. I've already read Sweet Dreams & Jagged out of order, now this one too. I'm going to have to go back and re-read the whole C. M. series over again in order this time. Lol. Very good reads.

Another winner from Kristen Ashley. Made me laugh, mad me cry, made me shout out loud. Made me smile, and most definitely made my day brighter.
