Jacob Dezhnyov (Jack to his friends, the Cossack to his colleagues at Miami Security Associates) had been a US Army Ranger and later a major with the Army's Criminal Investigation Division. He is now Chief Investigator for MSA. Don Tomás Caldera, son of Don Rodrigo Caldera, a Mexican billionaire, is assassinated in Guadalajara. Don Rodrigo now fears for his life and that of other members of his family including another son and a daughter. His security has failed him, and he turns to MSA for help. The body count will soar as the Cossack takes the case.
