Overview

Short-tempered from the summer heat, Laya the chicken is fed up with her family and friends at home. She takes a vacation in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. She travels to Paradise, Whitefish Point and Tahquamenon Falls hoping to meet new friends and see what lies beyond the chicken yard.

About the Author

Jean Davis writes an array of speculative fiction and plays with chickens. When not ruining fictional lives from the comfort of her writing chair, she can be found devouring books and sushi, weeding her flower garden, or picking up hundreds of sticks while attempting to avoid the abundant snake population that also shares her yard.
