The play focuses in on none other than Lear’s Fool and his dealings with other players in the game. The Fool works furiously behind the scenes plying his art of influence on Edgar, Edmund and the others. Because this is a story of the power behind the power, the one person who doesn’t show up in Lear’s Fool is Lear himself!
