A story of how grand parenting had an impact on me and how being a parent has had an impact on me in unexpected ways. Reflections of a boy who after losing his grandmother would see how the lessons she taught him applied in the global village. A serialization of the northern star that she built inside me and how a son would add to that. These concepts were built into me in the open savanna of Africa but continue to hold true each day as my story unfolds. Although it is a story born in a moment of grief it is a celebration of a life that paved the way, a serialization of concepts imparted that have helped me try to find the centre of self in a world that is far too busy.
