Margaret Turner was born in 1918 in Texas, and moved to Oregon in 1948 with her husband, a Methodist minister. After raising four children, she started teaching elementary school in Silverton, Oregon from 1965 until retirement in 1979. This book is a moving account of her experiences as a teacher.
