About the Author

Rachel Gibson began her fiction career at age sixteen, when she ran her car into the side of a hill, retrieved the bumper, and drove to a parking lot, where she strategically scattered the car’s broken glass all about. She told her parents she’d been the victim of a hit-and-run and they believed her. She’s been making up stories ever since, although she gets paid better for them nowadays.

I love Rachel Gibson's books but this one was a bust! A lingerie model who has posed all but naked for catalogs who is devastated because her ex put nude photos of her on the Internet. Lola was shallow (tweezing her eyebrows on a deserted island) and not too bright! She's stranded in the Bermuda Triangle, with a stranger, in a disabled boat, drug runners hunting them and she's freaked because Max used her TOOTHBRUSH!! Uh, duh, not real high on the priority list. I also had to agree with what another reviewer said about the editing! So many mistakes!! I read four or five books a week and many of them are the same way! Does anyone edit these??

Ok, this isn't one of my favorites I wasn't attracted to Max and Lola wasn't the greatest woman character Gibson has written. The mention of Lola's bulimia only in passing and it being made light of was distasteful for me (I am a recovering bulimic). Gibson could have and should have left it out. The whole stranded boat thing was overdone and the drug-dealer may kill us at any time plot was disappointing. and I would have kicked teh darn dog off teh boat teh first day! Lola's whining about the dog and obnoxious 'model' behavior was sickening, But here is why I read it despite all that Gibson's art of love-scenes and sexual tension writing...to die for...skim read the main part of the book and get to the good stuff!

Did not like the perfect heroine in this book. She was unrelatable. No real human imperfections to the character. It was entertaining in a unbelievable sort of way. There were certain parts of the story that I just rolled my eyes as I read it because it was too corney cliche.

I've read all of her books and I'd have to say this was my least favorite.

Rachel Gibson's books always make me laugh out loud. This one is no exception! I wish she would stay up night and day just to keep the books coming!

This was a re-read for me. I found it at Goodwill and thought I would give it another try. I remember it being one of the first Rachel Gibson that I read and I didn't care for it. Second time wasn't really an improvement either but I love Rachel so I gave it 2 stars.

This book is excellent! Full of adventure, a sexy stud, and a hot relationship. It is funny and full of sexy situations.

not impressed with the story since it got silly; but it was an easy fast read; the action sequences were unrealistic and there wasn't enough tension between the characters

I am glad that i did not listen to the other previous ratings of this book. This was a very good book. I do not know what book the earlier readers read, but this was one of my favorites. Oh well to each its own.

After reading some of the other reviews I wasn't sure if I would like this book. I really enjoyed this book though! I don't think there is a book that she has written that I don't like! It is not part of a series, but is great as a stand alone book! I have all of her books and they are all definite re-reads!! Rachel brings up things in the book that some people may not like, but are a fact of life. I love the series books, but this book is no slouch and should be given a fair review!! Thank you Rachel for giving me Lola's point of view, cause not everything is roses in here life! Max is definitely a hottie! It is a good book and well worth the money! Keep up the great work Rachel!!
