This book really helps you examine your priorities and provides practical guidance for the overwhelmed. I have a long way to go with both my clutter and weight issues, but this book has gotten me to shake off my motivational paralysis and get started!

Most weight loss books concentrate only on diet and exercise. Peter Walsh points out in this book that clutter and disorganization causes stress and feelings of being overwhelmed and that this stress in turn can lead to very poor eating habits and unhealthy living in general. I think most people will agree that living in a messy, disorganized environment encourages anyone to just grab a bag of potato chips and turn on the TV. Managing clutter, practicing some relaxation techniques and getting organized gives people a sense of control and a loss of helplessness that encourages them to eat better and live a healthier life. The author offers a very valid approach to these problems. This is a very practical and helpful book.
