I was so disappointed in this 3rd book in Sophie Love's series. In NO way did it live up to the promise of the first book. The concept of the series is already wearing thin. The characters were not well developed, and the main character was as unlikeable here as she was in the 2nd book: negative, whiny, judgmental, irrational and willfully blind. The "descriptions" of Paris were mostly just lists - names of places or foods, with a couple of hasty words of explanation tossed in. I didn't get any sense of the city at all. Ms. Love does have a nice writing style, but this story dragged. Worse, it appears that NO ONE took the time to edit it! There were misspelled or missing words on virtually every page. It was also very disconcerting to have the dialogue of AMERICAN characters peppered with British-isms.... *no* Americans, let alone ones from ordinary middle-class backgrounds, speak the way these people speak. It did not seem genuine at all. All in all, the feelings I was left with were boredom with the story, anger at the main character, and irritation with the sloppy, uncaring way the book was thrown together. Ms. Love, I *know* you can do SO much better! What on earth happened to this series? I adored the first book - but that only makes my disappointment with the 2nd book, and my total disillusion with the 3rd, that much worse.
