Life isn’t fair.
Hadley James learned early on in life the easy path was not in her future, and the past six months have been a testament to that. Losing her sister and getting guardianship of her nephew have knocked her world off its axis with no one there to help.
She takes the only job she can find to pay the bills, but it doesn’t exactly make her feel like the motherly type. Slinging cocktails ‘til two o’clock in the morning, then waking up four hours later to get her nephew out the door, leaves little time for anything but work and sleep.
Struggling to find a way to make ends meet, all Hadley wishes for is a normal life for her nephew, and a full night’s sleep for herself.
Is that really too much for a girl to ask for?

I really like this series and I enjoyed this second book in the series. I really liked Tate. He has a side to him that the other guys don't notice. Hadley brings that side up to the forefront. This book had me laughing quite a lot which when you put the four guys together is pretty much guaranteed to happen. This book also had the tears flowing. This was a well rounded book. It brings the heat, but it also brings the heart and feels. Looking forward to the next book.
I just love Winter, she is so amazing at what she does. You can never go wrong with any of her books. This book has all the feels. Laughing, crying and wanting a piece of Tate. With that said, I LOVED Hadley and Tate! She hasn't had the best past. She lost her parents in a accident and then her sister passed away from cancer. Hadley now has custody of teenage her nephew, Ryker. She has no self confidence in herself when it came to Ryker and worried she would fail him. She will do what ever it takes to keep Ryker from hurting again. Tate is HOT. I love him. Tate tags along when his friend, Roman to the strip club. When he sees the waitress, he instantly knows there is something special about her and has to know more about her. After finally meeting, their chemistry is off the charts! Ryker knows Tate from Powerhouse and he finds out they are seeing each other. What will Ryker say when he walks in on Hadley and Tate? Will Hadley realize that what she did was wrong? Will she finally give in to what she wants? READ THIS BOOK!!
Winter's done it yet again. This is a great story. I couldn’t put it down, and my heart went out to Hadley, as she fought to believe she was good enough for Tate. Aaah, Tate! Just search Nick Bateman and bo stick and you’ll know what I’m talking about. This is the second in the series and it's even better than the first. These guys all want to protect their woman, Tate from the second he lays eyes on Hadley. He knows she's different and would have talked to her that 1st night if Roman hadn't gotten p**p-faced and started a brawl outside the club where Hadley worked as a waitre Hadley's struggling to keep it together and raise her nephew. But each time they are together the chemistry just gets stronger until she can't resist any longer. I loved how Ryker, Hadley's nephew and the rest of the gang were integrated into this sweet, sexy story. Tate is the supreme alpha male with a heart of gold, and the biggest soft side, ever. Hadley is strong, independant and a feisty character who needs some TLC. I was rooting for these two from page 1.
