About the Author

Peggy Sullivan, Licensed Mental Health Counselor and National Certified Counselor, has a private counseling practice in Bellingham, Washington, where she provides mental health therapy for individuals and couples. Relationship issues seem to be a big part of the difficulties confronting her clients, although they see her under presenting issues of anxiety, depression, and a variety of other disorders. After some dozen and a half years of helping couples and their children work through the process of divorce as a professional guardian ad litem for family court, Sullivan moved to the front end to encourage and support happy and enduring relationships. Observations of hundreds of failed marriages, was a reliable and tested source of what not to do. In addition, a lifetime of observation of happy couples, combined with professional training as a therapist, completed the mastery of healthy relationships. Sullivan's personal experience included 41 years of living successfully, and some not so, as one half of two couples. While writing this book, she envisioned her two adult children sitting across a coffee table from her as she gives advice for men and women from both their perspectives.
