Love, Unexpectedly by Susan Fox

Take Me There

At thirty-one, Kat Fallon's luck with men shows no sign of improving. But when she asks her best friend Nav Bharani to be her date at her younger sister's wedding in Vancouver, she has no idea that she's about to get on board the most surprising ride of her life. . .

Nav has been secretly in love with Kat ever since he moved in next door. When she reveals that she loves taking train rides, especially the meeting-strangers part, Nav devises a plan to win Kat's heart. On every leg of her trip to Vancouver, he shows up disguised as a different sexy stranger. Stunned by Nav's daring, Kat finds herself succumbing to his inventive transformations. But what starts out as an innocent adventure soon becomes much more for Kat as she is forced to choose between her long-held fantasies of the perfect mate--and the prospect of something far more real. . .

This book was a great for the romantic reader. It had a great plot and characters. Just the right amount of romance, love & sex. It was hard to put down.

Nav Bharani has wanted to change his relationship with Kat Fallon from best friend to lover. However, she has always rejected his slightest move as she insists she does not wish to risk their friendship. Now he believes he has the perfect opportunity to persuade her otherwise as they travel by sleeper train across Canada to attend her sister's wedding in Vancouver. To convince her they belong together, Nav masquerades as different people with diverse personalities. As he makes snail progress, he runs up against her sexual issues, grudges and commitment fears. However, he soon realizes he has his phobias too that prevent the real Nav from simply saying to his BFF that he loves her. This is an enjoyable train ride across Canada as the lead couple begins to understand their feelings especially love and fear. Kat may seem like the one with all the commitment issues, but Nav and readers realize as he poses as "strangers" he has a major problem to confront also. With a throwback feel to the madcap romantic comedies of the 1930s, fans will appreciate Susan Fox's fine character driven tale of Love, Unexpectedly. Harriet Klausner

Nav has fallen for the girl next door, however, she only sees him as her friend, actually, her best friend. How can he get her to realize his love is more than just a friend without jeopardizing their friendship? He creates an outlandish game of pretend. It is interesting to see the changes in his character throughout his game of pretend. Will he win her heart? You will just have to read this one ...

I have read some pretty bad books and even finished them, but the writing of this book is so juvenile, I finally gave up and am deleting this book.

Steamy love story of two people who started off as friends. Somewhat improbable. I suppose if you have two people who are attracted to one another, on some level, and you have the right conditions, anything is possible. I loved the cultural differences between the two. The beta male is totally hot, and relatable.

A little out of the realm of plausible scenarios, but still a fun and easy read. A feel good story.

Slow ....Hard to get into at first but story line does improve with the 2 charaters. The author repeats their thoughts too many times. With that said I did enjoy the book...
